so im curious if anyone else has this problem... first time i broke even was before my lavatube crapped out on me and my ego-c passthrough died on vacation... (luckily the lavatube broke after i got back and had a new ego in the mailbox.)

so now im back to square one after my zmax and some other gear and juice...

but with the tesla and the e-vic coming out that old "ooh gimme gimme gimme" is starting to kick in again...

I'm surprised to read this. I've been vaping for awhile now and I've only had two device failures occur. (I'm talking the main device not cartos and such).
Both were right out of the box or within a very short time of being new. In both cases the vendors honored the return policy's.
Usually anything electronic goes this way.
If its not DOA and makes it past the initial break-in period of a few days, it will go forever.
What is failing on the devices, is it electrical or mechanical?
Is it from anything obvious that you can avoid, like dropping it, getting juice where it doesn't belong or something like that?
I'm just curious if its operator error that you can watch for and avoid or if its manufacturer errors that you can avoid by staying with name brands and not buying knock-off's.
Thanks!

KnockOffs... First was ego style battery that just stopped to work. Never dropped or anything, 2 weeks of using it. So I panicked and ran to buy another battery for backup. It works but it's meh, just simple ego battery.
Next is the juice. Well, started by trying to mimic analog. Obviously didn't turn out well with all those Tobacco M,P,LM,PM and crap like that. That added at least 100$ for me. Then there are just bad juices no matter flavor that ended up around 60$ mark, for now.
The 3rd is catos... there's are so many sellers that just want to be hit in face many many many times. Selling all that crap that burns after one day... this added 100$ in junk.

Now some time into vaping and finding his forum + countless reviews I've ordered:
Vivi Nova's x5 I like to have at least 3 juices available "on the go" without the need to wash tank for flavor change.
Vamo, batteries, charger and juices from vendors listed in 2012 thread...

So yeah, it's not just devices that go bad... it's everything, including shipping. Downside for me is my country. Need to order everything internationally, increases chances of buying something I won't like at all. Yes, I know about samplers... the shipping avg. is 25 days + packaging time... So I ended up ordering 30ml 3 bottles and sampler from every vendor. But I'm sure I will be in the "saving money" zone after half year, when I'll sort out juices I like and HW that just works.

well my failed devices one was my fault the other ...kinda design flaw.

the ego-c i was just flicking out the buildup in my nova and it came apart completely... i know these are genuine joyetech and i dont know if i just put too much force on it or what. you would THINK that it would be able to take a little beating without coming apart completely...

the lavatube had a bit of an issue with the cap not on tight when i got it... so i forced it on there smooth and i guess that killed the gluing... so from then on the connector popped out from time to time causing the wiring to be stressed, eventually it broke off.

it happens... i know i am rough on my mods thats why from now on nothing but STEEL for me :p

oh not to mention delivery system or juices... i got about 30 bottles (after giving away about 10-20 to friends) of stuff i really dont even like but sounded good at the time!

also ive gone through about every type of carto, clearo, tank, semi-rba you can think of...

Have the same problem here. Local vendors carry crap and knockoffs, and freight is a make it or break it deal... That's why I try to have dupli and triplicate everything. I make small shipments frequently so I have a constant supply of things. Buy from China, your shipment time will be much less. I buy from the US because shipments take an average 10 days. As to juices, I order 30 ml bottles instead of samples. Once you have a good stash of things you know that work, replace and buy one more. I put some savings onto this, and with careful planning you won't run out.
