So the subtank was leaking. After some research I disassembled it and went ahead and tightened things up. No more leaks!! :). Well evidently I over tightened things because I went to install a new wick and the collar around the coils would not come off. I tried gently using some pliers which resulted in me bending the crap out of the collar. I finally got it off and got it bent back into shape but now it's leaking again and I am afraid to crank down on it again to stop the leak. I may get a kayfun v4 or something along those lines.

To bad about the collar. I see what you mean. I've had trouble with that as well. They should have put some grip nodes down there so you can get ahold of it better. You can probably get a new one. I'm sure they sell them somewhere. Maybe Kanger will correct the problem on the next tank. And we all know there will be more to come...lol.

I'm still debating. This is my first rebuildable tank and other than that issue I love it. It's sized perfectly, I'm happy with the capacity, and I like the method for rebuilding. I have looked all over and I think I might try a Kayfun v4 clone. I like that it has 4 posts making for easy dual coil building. Just wish I could get some hands on before I purchase

Check out the Eleaf Lemo it is my favorite topper. It's wicked easy to build, simple and reliable with great airflow! The only downside is its 23mm.

I just lightly hold the collar and let it slip between my fingers as I try to unscrew it and after a few attempts it comes loose every time.

This approach works for the full size subtank and a couple of my Kayfuns as well.

If I put too much pressure on the collar it just makes it distort and bind.

Kayfun 4 is a turd so are sub tanks. Try something that isn't convoluted like an ubertoot
Use what I use because all others are crap, did I get that right? BTW your ubertoot sounds like a kanger subtank. So following your logic an ubertoot must be a turd also since its not much differentt than a kanger subtank with the rba base.

New decks for the STM are available, I just ordered 3 so I can build up extra coils. ;)

I've heard good things about the Kayfun (not sure what version), I've not tried it as of yet but likely will eventually. Presently my favorite is a toss up between the STM and Lemo2 - I really like the option to pay someone else for coils or make your own and I guess I've been lucky with the Lemo2 - I love the top fill (don't have to take the tank apart) and have yet flooded it (then again I use almost 100% VG juice.)

thanks for that penetrating insight! I mean like the ubertoot is so simple in design right? Much less complex than a subtank..and such a reasonable price and easy to get hold of...except you probably have a clone which, if it is any good, cost more than a subtank...jeez..

I too found exactly the same thing. I have six Subtanks and I run the RBA in all of them. It is amazing on how loose you can leave it and they still don't leak. Anytime I get a leak with the RBA, it is almost always the wicking has burned and then the ejuice just leaks down the air intake.

I'm not sure why you guys are insulted that I call sub tanks and kayfun4s convoluted. If you want a quality single coil rebuildable vape there are just far better options. Those are just popular due to accessibility. The problem clones actually solve ^_^
You called them turds and then suggested that what you use is awesome. The whole holier than thou part isn't very attractive.
