wire to the center screw broke off (or came loose from the ring terminal)

solder iron helped (but really hard with that short of a wire, i'm assuming i didn't just void my warranty by making it work again, just go a week without it)
not sure how that terminal is attached if its just pressure crimped or soldered inside the crimp (kinda looked soldered)
but i didn't remove the top more than once.. guessing just early assembly bugs but definitely could use a better connection there

well, don't need to ship it back at this point as i got it working again. only buggy thing is can-not tighten the top-screw down fully, if i do, and try to put a cartomizer on it all the way down, i get the red light o shorting, so kinda finicky, not sure what thats all about.

as long as my warranty won't be voided because i got my soldering iron out

My wire broke off too so when I soldered it back on I put a small piece of heat shrink tubing around the wire and slightly on to the ring connector. After I heated it up and shrank the tube the connection was much more secure.

I was just going to suggest using shrink tube to help hold the wire in place.

That whole center post is meant to swivel so you don't break the wire when you turn the cap putting it on and off.

When we first got these New PCB;s they had crimped the wires and not soldered them like they were supposed to ! we are now replacing them all in production , you warranty is still good !
