The hell's going on? I ordered two boxes of regular blank carts and out of the 10 about 6 of them are messed up horribly. I take a hit and I get nothing from it at all. If I unscrew the cart then blow into it gently, all the vapor comes out of the .... end. This problem is sneaky too, as you can use a cart for a little while then the problem will surface, or it'll happen instantly. It makes it a huge pain as I'll stock up on carts before leaving the house for the day only to have every single cart conk out. This problem has, as a result, made me have an analog here and there since I'm completely stuck without any carts and am away from the house for 12 hours. As you can imagine it's a gigantic problem. Buying smokes for the first time in nearly a year felt so awful. I read about the fix with the pliers but I don't have time to do that to every single broken cart. Any other way around this? Oh, and my sister buys prefilled carts and told me she's had the same issue. She says she had to put aside 15(!!!!) carts because they ended up with this issue.

Lets get some more information from you Larry. With your problem carts, how would you answer the following questions:

Are you getting air flow?
Have you tried putting a problem cart on a different battery?
Are you using V4L batteries/passthru or something different?
If something different, whats the voltage of the device?
How long does a problem cart last before it fails?
Do the problem carts begin to taste burnt before they fail?
How much juice have you usually added to the problem carts before failure?

(1) Are you getting air flow?
(2) Have you tried putting a problem cart on a different battery?
(3) Are you using V4L batteries/passthru or something different?
(4) If something different, whats the voltage of the device?
(5) How long does a problem cart last before it fails?
(6) Do the problem carts begin to taste burnt before they fail?
(7) How much juice have you usually added to the problem carts before failure?

(1) Nope, I draw on the cart but no airflow or anything. At this point if you take a big hit and unscrew the cart you can blow gently into it and all the vapor will come out of the back end.
(2) Yeah, they're defective across both batteries I have.
(3) A V4L XL manual and V4L regular-size manual (hate auto).
(4) N/A
(5) It varies wildly. Sometimes it'll do this right off the bat, other times I use it for a few drags then it occurs. Always either in the beginning or shortly after beginning of use.
(6) No taste difference at all. Some fail instantly, but for the ones that fail later on, it tastes/vapes like normal then the next drag I can't get any sort of hit.
(7) I add the same amount of juice as I always have, for the past 10 months or so. I fill a condom halfway, press the cart down into it slowly, Taryn spin, repeat once more. So 2x 1/2 condom.

Okay, sounds like all of the problem carts are firing but airflow is blocked. Several things can cause this, here are a few:

(1) Debri in airflow chamber of battery. Solution- Clean battery air access holes and air chamber using such things as a toothbrush, dental pick, saftey pin ect. **Sidenote to all auto battery users** Never stick anything down into the center hole of an auto battery.

(2) Twisted wick- A wick can become twisted by rotating the inner post of the cart. Solution- Use a flathead screwdriver or something similar to rotate the inner post until the wick is no longer twisted.

(3) No airflow groove in inner post of battery or cart. Either the battery or cart must have a shallow groove in the inner post to facilitate air flow. V4L battery posts are solid and the carts are grooved. The only solution I have heard of for this problem is the "paperclip mod".
