Broken Clearomizers leaking

Hey, I got an ecig kit from a local store it was the Imperial Smoke brand. The clearomizer that came with it wasn't shown anywhere online, but I found one that looked almost identical but it was under the name Trinity. "Trinity TriMesh Stainless Steel Mesh Clearomizer Atomizer for Rook CE4 CE5 CE8"
Anyways, the clearomizer started leaking while I was on a plane to Hawaii. :( I tried to find the source of the leak and I figured it was small and along the bottom because that was the part that kept getting little droplets of e liquid on it. I got some super glue when we landed and glued the bottom of the clearomizer just, right at the bottom of the glass/plastic - where I thought it was leaking from. The super glue worked, but it eventually broke completely in my pocket and the liquid leaked through.
I have just purchased a new one and received it a few days ago. It was working spectacularly until just a few hours ago I was getting onto my bed and my e cig was on it. My knee went straight into it and when I looked at the damage the clearomizer was diagonal and it looked like one of those ones that is supposed to be slanted. I hit it to see if it would work and it did. But then I noticed a small amount of leakage after I forced the clearomizer back to its original position. Now it's burning through my e liquid, after about 30 minutes of use I had already used almost 1ml. Which normally would've lasted me a few hours had it not leaked. I don't want to replace another clearomizer since the only thing I anticipated on having to replace was the heating element inside. But apparently the only thing that breaks on me is the clear part of the tank. I've heard that it should only be screwed finger tight so that the rubber rings inside aren't damaged, because that would cause leakage. I've been doing that with this new one but smh I put my knee right into it and it appears I just ruined another one. Does anyone have any clue how to fix a leaky clearomizer? Here's a pic of it jk no links
Superglue along the bottom seemed to sort of work, but it would leak sometimes which really annoyed me. There's nothing I hate more than loosing e liquid and getting my fingers all sticky with wasted goodness. It's rather frustrating especially since I just received a lanyard that should prevent me from breaking it in the future. Could someone link me to some tips on increasing the life of your e cig, or proper treatment and handling of clearomizer? Does anyone have any recommendations for clearomizers? I've heard the one I'm using is one of the best for taste because there's no wicks, or cotton, or any of that garbage. I have to tilt my ecig upside down and angle it at the ceiling to prevent liquid from dripping down on to the battery in excessive amounts and that only occurs when I hit it while it's upright. If it's dangling from my neck it doesn't get the battery wet at all. I'm thoroughly confused and for the time being I'm just going to look like a weirdo vaping from my handicapped e cig. Thanks for any responses, new here. :)

Update: Now when I tilt it up hot e liquid soon drips into my mouth, but when I hold it normally it just gurgles. I know that that means there's liquid where there shouldn't be but when I blow through it it literally drains the tank. I was blowing and a lot was coming out, I blew once more, and then I looked at the liquid level. I had blown out 1/3 of the tank and I couldn't believe it. So now since it's gurgling I unscrew the battery and check for liquid after every hit. Every time it comes out clear. Which is odd because this gave me a false since of security about an hour ago. There was a pool of liquid when I went for a hit after walking down the stairs, before I went down, :mad:the battery was clean and after hitting there was no pool on the battery.

Sounds like the construction isn't very durable. Also - elevation changes make tanks leak. Just FYI.

Edited to add, you will find a lot of recommendations, I use Protanks from Kanger (Protank 3, Mini Protank 2 and Mini Protank 3) and I have had pretty good luck with them. The Protank 3 has even survived two drops already ... but it only has to hit the ground wrong once.

People will recommend Aspires, Aerotank, Protanks, Davides, and so on. Heck, at some point, someone will chime in and recommend a Kayfun clone or dripper along with a mechanical mod. However, I would recommend against buying the same type of tank you have broken twice already.

Is $18 for a tank considered expensive? Because it seems a bit much. Have you ever had to replace that tank? And I think I just saw that the atomizer heads for the protank 3 are only about $2? That's very decent. Could you recommend a vendor here or elsewhere that you personally use? Thanks :)

I've been recommending the tanks that I use and like, which no one talks about very much. They are pyrex and pretty sturdy. They are inexpensive and hold quite a bit of juice, too. I have several of these so I can rotate flavors during the day. You can buy the replacement heads/coils for them for about $1.50 each. Here is a link:

I use Kanger Mini Protank IIs and like them, but I haven't tried the alternatives.

I've broken 1 glass tank but in an unusual way. I apparently dropped the whole thing and the upper lip of the tank must have bent - so that the glass tank wouldn't fit smoothly into the top portion of the unit. The pyrex cracked while I was trying to remove it from the top piece. I haven't broken one since, but I now have an extra tank just in case. Nice thing about the MPT2s is that you can get almost all the parts separately; the only thing you can't get is the drip tip (in the v.2 model), but that's a standard size so it can be replaced with something else if necessary.

I pay $13-14, plus shipping for the v.2 models.

Well..... A few things I managed to gleamed from all the waterfall of words....

If you step on it, it will break! There is no getting around from that.

Then clearo that you bought, seems like low Q tank.

I would suggest you look into Protank 2 mini (Glass will break if dropped or otherwise).
Another good tank is EVOD. (Uses same coils as Protank 2)

They are both easy to maintain and inexpensive to get replacement coils.

Rebuilt when you are good and ready. When you do, It's penny per coil.

But Do get multiple back up tanks.....And spare battery and spare charger.

Cheers

If you want to keep costs down - Evod is a great choice like Choc says. And +1 to the sentiments from Choc on backup everythings. First rule of vaping - get backups for your backups of everything.

And if you are on a plane - any clearo filled with juice will have some sort of leakage from the pressure change. So, when you fly back - make sure you are 1/3 full or less and you should be OK or have very minimal leaking. For future issues - there is no reason to put superglue on. If you are trying to seal a leak that means it can get into your tank...superglue in the wrong place can do way more damage than a small crack and yikes, wouldnt want to risk inhaling it.

Why the v2 and not the v3? And if I were to buy say the protank 2 and the protank 3 would they take the same replacement parts or nah? And what about the protank 3 and the mini 3 would they? Anddd could someone show me how to refill these? It looks more complicated than what I have to do now. I read you have to fill it from the bottom and hold the liquid in from coming out of the driptip...

Learn to wrap your own coils. You'll save a bundle in the long run.

roflmfao!!! yeah, cost of building is cheap, very inexpensive. But that leads to the Dark path of rba's. Re-buildable atomizers. And that leads to the discovery that Authentic rba's, and vape gear in general, is always the best bet. And yes, know you can re-build many changeable attiy's, but......lol.

The PT's are a bottom fill atomizer. Unscrew the base while inverted, the fill the juice down the side of the tank, between the outer wall and center tube, tanking care not to get any juice down the center draw tube. To do so, promotes flooding, leaks and frustration. Fill till just below the center tube, the screw the base back on. Take special care and always check that the coil head is tight before screwing the base back on. On the pt, it can loosen when unscrewing the base. That to can cause mass flooding.

The only other things to keep in mind, is to allow sufficient time for the juice to saturate a new coil head before taking that first vape, and to not over tighten the atty on the battery. Can shut of air supply and bend coil wire, causing hot spots and shorts.

Hope you find your Vape.

The PT2 uses a single coil atomizer. The PT3 uses a dual coil atomizer. Not directly interchangable.
