IBT doesn't make smoked glass tanks. They do have the abyss, but that looks like garbage.

Ibtanked has new 'prism' finishes including smoke.
I'm not sure if it has been added to the site yet but you can select any add color and note which color prism you want.

Edit:

My violet halfling, no brush marks just a nice clear coat of vibrant violet color.

I stand corrected. Those do look good. I can't believe it took them this long to get them. 90% of the painted ones that I saw were just horrible. I gave them the benefit of the doubt & ordered an abyss with one of mine. It wasn't out of the package 2 solid minutes before I had a clear replacement tube ordered.

I agree, My first IBT was a light swirl and I wasn't expecting the brush strokes to be quite as noticeable, all of my orders since have been clear minus the violet I own. The bold swirls might not bother me as much but I just love these tanks, colored or not.

Edit:

Check out IBT's sub forum they are testing some new techniques and some customers are receiving interesting test samples.

This one was really interesting: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ibtanked/582616-hummingbird-tank.html

I liked the idea of the swirl, but all but a couple of them that I saw were done half-assed & uneven. The line thickness was all over the place, the spacing was too. My abyss was so sloppy that it had air bubbles in the paint. They made good tanks, but the quality of the painting was just garbage.

Back to the topic: for me the use comes before the aesthetics. I use a polished KFL on my Stealth. I've been meaning to coat 1 or 2 of my KFL's black, but it just honestly isn't that important. I'll get around to it sooner or later. I did put in the effort to polish all of my KFL's though. I just don't use my Polished Provaris as much as I use the Stealth.

I didn't love my colored IBT either.
But yes, the Prism colors are solid, and nice, and mine's holding up under pretty heavy rotation!
Meaning, I don't think it's actually colored glass, but some kind of coating - but you CAN NOT tell that. No scratching, rubbing off, or anything and it's been soaked and dinged...
I also got the same deep blue from Spectrum Glass - to me, they're equivalent quality...

Seriously, how hard would it be for them to make the glass itself colored? Or hire a decent painting crew?

So I settled on a BLEM Satin Silver Mini with Red LED and a Nautilus Mini to save some money. That stealth is gorgeous, but way too expensive for me at the moment.

OCD isn't a glass blower. Glass blowing isn't an easy art, so for him it could certainly be difficult.
His Glass comes in 5' long tubes which he cuts and his family paints by hand. But the new Prism tanks are very different the color looks as if it is the glass only when you have the caps off you can tell where the layer of color is.

My point is, this is a small family business run by three people.

On topic:
Great choice, I really didn't think I would enjoy the satin silver just due to the images but my mother bought a blem recently and the pictures really don't do it justice.

Seconded..

I got a non-blem satin silver (red LED) recently, and even though I knew I'd like it, it certainly beat my expectations..

There's a chance the blem's shade will be off a little, which might affect visual appeal.. But even then, probably not by much..

The satin silver is a little more slippery than a cerakoted one, but its appearance & its lack of potential wear (due to no coating) more than makes up for that.. Everything like the logo & crop cirlces just pop out at you, and has this space-agey type look to it..

It's definitely more of a daytime PV, due to the red.. But it's still a nice combo..

They did a really good job with it, and I wouldn't hesitate to get a 2nd one, probably w/ blue LED...

P.S. The steel smell wears off after about a week..

I went for a black mini with green LED which my mom loves but she decided to save on the blem and now having seen it in person I would trade with her buuut I really do not care for the red LED if it were green or even blue I'd go for it.

I did not realize IBTanked was such a small company, and retract my previous statements lol.

So I placed my order for my BLEM early Monday morning, and as of Wednesday it says the order is still processing. I haven't received any notifications that my card was declined or anything.

I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait 'til the end of the week. I'm sure they're very busy after the promo.

It took them like a week to ship out the one I ordered during the 4th of July sale..

This is the "cost" of getting 10% off.. :D
