Brought a little dripper but, its so loose

I got this little dripper from FT:

I like it, its my first however..the one issue i have with this product is where the body goes around the O-rings well, everytime i take a hit off it the body slides up from the base its so loose if you hold it by the tip the base will just fall out. The O-rings just dont do anything really. They sort of just help it slide up and down if you ask me, I love this little things its excellent apart from this issue, so i guess i'm asking is there any fixes to hold this body down to the base without changing the o-rings at all, i don't have any spare or anything apart from ones that come with drip tips but they're surely to small *sigh* juice everywhere!

There's the old dental floss trick. Remove o- rings, wrap several turns of dental floss in the o- ring channels as needed, replace o - rings. If I'm not mistaken that's a squid, baby brother of the octopus which is an excellent cheap dripper.

Cool tip! I never heard of that one! I have a drip tip that's simply too loose, I'm gonna have to see if this fixes it!

Next time you are out on errands, stop by a hardware store(like Lowes) Most carry good selections of o-rings.

Plumming Dept. and Hardware section(fastener drawers).

You could try Home Depot, Lowes or local hardware store for o - rings with a slightly smaller id and larger od (thicker). make sure the material of the o - ring can handle some heat though.

Will do, i'm from england so never even heard of those shops. I do know some hardware shops though haha

The Dental floss is a good idea! I'd suggest tape or rubber bands, but if you're using it on an atty, I'd be concerned about those materials that close to the heating element.

But for a more permanent solution, just get some better gaskets. Like the other user said, check out the hardware stores. Just make sure it's silicone.

The dental floss trick worked like a champ on my drip tip with the undersized o-ring.
Actually, I think it was that the o-ring groove was cut too deep.
Mass produced stainless steel drip tip...

didn't have any dental floss at work but do have tape and exacto knife. worked like a charm. whole pv can hang off of my drip tip now.

Just thought i would say, had to go out and buy some new dental floss this morning as i had ran out went to the local shop to only find that they don't sell it. I then had to walk alllllllllllllllllllllllll the way to the pharmacy looking like a scruff haha, managed to grab some annnnnnnd works like a treat i can now hold my squid with a vamo holding a 18650 off it

Yeah, I can't believe I'd never heard of that trick before this!
