ok i was looking to find out how to put a nice brush job on my SS tubes or even my brass ones and i have no idea on how to do that i have a dremal and a polishing kit so what do i need to know before i just strat messing things up?

In one hand hold a piece of sandpaper wrapped around the tube. And rotate the tube for a while with the other hand. Comes up looking very nice.
I just put a carto in my drill, screw on the mod and go at it, just brushed my P+ 18500 and it came out great!

Scotch-brite pads work very well for this too. Just make sure you keep the direction uniform - either vertical, horizontal or however you desire. I like a combination of the above two methods using a Scotch-brite pad.
on a more serious note use a product called Fitz polish it works extremely well on ss and brass and will take out scratches to.
I used scotchbrite and it came out pretty darn well, and you most likely have a scotch brite pad at home somewhere.
I chuck my tubes on a drill bit, and set them on my drill press. I just hold green scotchbrite against it while the press spins

Here's a different before an after of brushing the matte finish of a Richman genny (with green scotcbrite)

Ok everyone thanks and I have a drill press so I need to just try and see how I can put it on that and what kind of scotch brite do I use?
might just as well use sanding paper instead of kitchen scourers all the same principle. just try and get some course, medium and fine grit stuff. still want to try polishing using my dremel clone

I used my dremel the whole way, brushed off the chipping cover and then polished it using the compound and polishing rounds it came with. I can't tell the difference bewteen it and the stainless steel one I ordered! Turned out amazing! Love my Dremel!
