Brushing Stainless Steel

This isn't really a tutorial or anything, just a post about how simple it is to brush SS with a green scotch brite scrubbing pad or equivalent. I used a store brand so any equivalent pad should work. Scotch Brite has different colors on some pads or label them fine or ultra fine. If you stick with the green or red ones you'll be fine. Some people have said that they will use the green or red and follow up with the ultra fine gray pad.

Just wrap the mod in the pad and start turning the mod one direction and it will keep the lines straight.

3M pads is what I use on my stainless steel kitchen appliances. I use them on my brushed aluminum boxmod, also.

I also want to point out that you could obviously get a more fine brushed look with finer pads...but I prefer the look that I ended up with and that's what I was going for.

I think I prefer that look over the usual uniform brushed look. This gives it more texture; it's more pleasing to look at IMO.
