FYI Heartland is having a 15% off sale for new years code is New18. Even budgieter (that's a word, right?) than regular prices.

I just saw that in my e-mail. Brings the number I mentioned down to about a hunnert (just had to use that since "words" have been brought up :D). At $38.25 for a liter of nic, may just have to pick up another myself!

between here and there
I tried the clear polish but found clear packing tape was easier for me. It is another case of one way isn't better than another way.
I have always used the BD syringes. When I first started DIY around 7 years ago, there literally wasn't a good place to buy anything so I went the medical route of finding what I needed. The writing never washes off on these. In fact, I have some I still use from my first box and only replace them if I think they are too old. I did buy some 1ml ones from a vendor once and the writing ran on every one of them.
They may be a bit more expensive but lasting a really long time makes up for that expense.

:)

eta And I really don't like the idea of nail polish or tape being inserted into my bottles of flavoring. yuck

I really didn't need more L of nic base for myself, but when LNW had their recent sale on 100mg/mL 50PG/50VG nic base for just $29.95 + $8.49 S/H...I bought another 1. Just FYI...if I'd gotten 2L, the S/H was only going to go up to $9 plus change...not bad for S/H on 2L. I chose USPS shipment, and it got here in 3 days! I'm helping 3 locals with DIY now, so decided to go ahead and get it. They're having a sitewide sale now, too. IIRC, any L of 100mg/mL nic base is now $39.99 + S/H.

I hate seeing people say that the starter kit comes with things you do not need when they never bought one! There is not one thing I haven't used except for the gloves! All the syringes and plastic bottles either have been used or will be to give someone a sample. I used everything and have needed more syringes.

And the OP has MOD's I believe go to 80W so that is the limit of what tanks/coils they can use.

Are you assuming I never bought one? That would be an error on your part.

Well I'm a simple fellow so I don't get to fancy with my DIY.

Now I been doing it afew years so I guess I got some stuff and certainly in the beginning I over complicated it.

These days I mostly like complete flavore rather then adding them one by one. The brand I been using is Real Flavors and I prefer the super consentrates. I'm gonna link to one I like on Amazon but they have hundreds. On some you have to think abit like Silly Rabbit=Trix and so on. Each bottle costs 8 bucks to your door and makes between 1000 and 3000 ML of finished product. They say bewteen 1% and 2.5% but I'm a naughty boy and mix at 3%.

https://www.amazon.com/Strawberry-T...merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1514673092&sr=1-91

Amazon also has VG and PG.

You prolly have a million bottles laying around now. Honestly I mix in bottles I get at Harbor Freight or Walmart. You don't need fancy.

I sometimes use a scale but you don't need one to start. Just a syringe you can get at Tractor supply for a buck. Tractor supply also has PG gallons cheap.

You prolly have a measuring cup that does Metric. If not Walmart has a real nice glass one for a buck fiddy.

My Freedom Smokes has great deals on good 100mg nic. 20 bucks will get you a nice bottle shipped.

Here's a nice little tip from your Uncle Sean.............. test in 100ml batches. Easy as pie to mix and gives you a good size batch to see if you really like it or just sorta. Say your gonna mix a batch of 6mg with 3% flavor. Squirt 6ml of nic and 3ml of flavor and your done minus the PG/VG.

I hear too often it comes with things you with never use but that is from an experienced DIY e-Liquid maker who actually could not use the little manual they throw in that you really aren't paying for. For $63.99 this is no better deal I have seen to get started with DIY. After you make some easy to make flavors you can get creative and order flavors from other vendors but with the LB kit it is pretty simple to get wonderful finished e-Liquids and not be starting threads that your new DIY mixes taste like ....!

Well, most of us "experienced diy e liquid makers" seem to agree that vg, pg, nic, a syringe and some flavors would be sufficient. That can all be had for under $63. But if you're into starter kits, then by all means.... recommend starter kits. The best advice comes from real world experience. If that's your experience, super.

Yes when I got into DIY some of the Gurus made it like it was friggin rocket science and the easiest way for a person to get into DIY and be successful in My OPINION is to get a starter kit from a company that gives recommended percentages and complex flavors like a Strawberry Cheesecake in one bottle. Granted I started that way but have so many flavors in stock I need to figure out what to do with but YES that is the best recommendation I can make for a person looking to START.

Good for you, I bought one and it was a waste of money. I wish I had read Mattiem's blog before I bought it.

Good for you, I bought one and it was a waste. Buy another.

Do not need another starter kit just buy all my supplies to keep me stocked up and still using the Beakers and Graduated Cylinders every time I have a mixing session. The electric mixer helps speed up infusion and still cranking. Vaping the Holiday flavors as we speak! Cranberry Cobbler

The Liquid Barn DIY Starter Kit in currently $63.99 and that should include FREE Shipping and with a coupon code could save up to 20%. With all the other supplies included that will add up especially doing the Math and adding in all the shipping fees for different vendors. With the LB Kit you need nothing else because you get everything in one box to be a successful DIY e-Liquid mixologist.
This is a good deal. Not only do you get the ingredients to make juice for about $15 or so less than the cost of budget juices, you get some useful hardware to go with it. Granted, you could find that stuff elsewhere but getting the supplies where you get the juice ingredients saves time, and time is money too.

If you're looking to replace your atomizers too, I would look first at the clearance sections of the various vendors out here in webspace. There is a ton of stuff available that was hot and costly in 2015 and 2016 and is just as good now as it was then. RTA's that flew out the door at $30 can be had now for half that or less.

Time is money too, though. Just because some thing or some process has a lower price doesn't always mean that it costs less.

My diy costs 1.1 cents per ml. I pay the typical market prices for supplies, $20 a gallon for PG and VG, $50 for 100,000 mg of nic, $14 for a 120 ml bottle of all-in-one flavoring by Capella. Those supplies will keep me vaping for 4 years so about $25 a year. I mix 200 ml about once a month, takes about 15 minutes. My cost of wick and wire for 26 builds and 50 fresh wicks a year is $2. Vaping isn't cheap, it's free.

i dunno, if you don't want to jump into the DIY juice thing, the first thing I would do is learn to rebuild and get some RDAs and RTAs. You will save some money building your own coils rather than using the much more expensive drop-in coils for the Baby Beast, so that is where I would start.

Second, you may find with an RDA or RTA that you get a satisfying vape at lower wattage/higher resistance and use a lot less juice than with the Beast. You can always get some stronger juice (higher nic level) if you find that you need more to satisfy your needs when using an RDA or RTA at lower wattage. Bottled juice costs the same regardless of the nic level.

Not saying that DIY is a bad idea. I make some of my own juice and it is super inexpensive compared to pre-made juice, but you could save a few bucks right away by building your own coils.

Seriously if you want to DIY juice on the cheap nicotineriver.com is the place.
PG - 1 GALLON $18.99
VG - 1 GALLON $12.99
Nic 100mg/ml - 150ml $13.99
So for about $46 + flavorings you will have enough to make about 2500ml of 6mg juice. You didn't specify how many ml you both use in a day but at 10ml each (20ml total) that would be a bit over 4 months worth. NOTE: these numbers imply using roughly equal amounts of PG/VG if you use significantly more of one than the other you may need to replenish that one a bit sooner. It is still WAY WAY cheaper than buying pre-made juice.

They also sell flavors for cheap and have a DIY recipe section to help. They do have a $50 Kit that includes 15 flavorings of your choice, nic, PG/VG, gloves and bottles. They also sell quantities both larger and smaller than what I listed. You get better pricing the higher the quantity you buy.
