I don't want to ninja the thread, but I think it's better to create a new one.

I got a authentic MX v1. I used the same build that I used to do on my magmas, (dual coil, single 28g kanthal, 5/6 wraps for 0.55 ohm). All I can say is... I prefer the magma by far. Not only the flavor from the magma is way better but it produce a lot more vapor and it's considerably thickier. I changed the wick few times and still the same result.

My coils are placed a bit lower (maybe 1 millimeter lower) than the central post hole and aren't centered. They're placed between the negatives poles and positive pole.

To be honest, I didn't get the MX for the flavor, but to make some cloud. Needless to say that I prefer to use magma for it so far. :(

Any recommendation would be appreciated. I don'T think I will get lower AWG kanthal anytime soon...

Thanks

The Mutation v1 is a beast. It's designed for thicker wire and serious subohms. Try out a .2 build with 24g, 3mm and minimal cotton so the air can disperse freely. Beastly clouds no doubt. I see a LOT of builds with less than .1 ohms with the MX.

I began building the MXv1 with 28g and was not a fan. Check out the Fogwind Vapor Group Buys page on Facebook and see all the crazy coils being built for the monster known as the Mutation X.

Once received, I plan on building my Magma for ADV, conservative warm vape with good flavor, and then build the MX for pure clouds. I know there's no competition when it comes to vapor production, though I hear Magma is no slouch.
