Building a Nicostick - what is your battery connector mounted on?

seeking advice - i made my first nicostick yesterday, but was wondering if there was a better way of mounting the battery connector? I am using the oem batter connector for an 801 (from Nerf) and what i did was use some glue and just piled it on there till it got hard, then i put some super glue so the connector didnt move as much. What did you modders do to mount the connector inside the AAA box?

I also found that the positive connector that touches the battery doesnt touch the blue 10440 batts so i have to either cut the plastic or or wedge it between the battery and leave the plastic untouched. When using a regular AAA it works but because of the low voltage this isnt going to work. did any one run into this issue?

Some use 2 part epoxy glue, whether clear or black is up to you.

I always use 2 part epoxy putty in my mods. It dries to a rock like state, cures in one hour but hardens in 3 minutes. Waterproof and perfectly seals any holes or gaps to prevent liquid seepage into the mod.

dedmon - do you cover the wires connected to the connector with epoxy? And the hole in the connector, that too? My box mod leaked and stopped working. :-(

After I get the soldering done, I throw a dab of glue from a hot glue gun on top of all my connections. Kinda permanent, but what the heck.
