Hey everyone, first thread post on ECF!

I've been vaping since November 2012 and have sufficient personal experience with PVs and cartos/clearos. I recently decided to switch to mech/rda and purchased a K100 and an AGI as my first setup. I have friends who work in local B&Ms so I just had them build my AGI for me. It was working great, but I decided to try building out for myself after seeing them do it tons of times.

I bought an IGO-W a few days ago. I went home and watched a few videos just to confirm everything my friends have taught me. I've already researched almost everything I need to know about batteries themselves, and I made sure to buy an MNKE IMR18650 because of its high amp limit.

However, the technicalities of building are still relatively new to me. I'm still using my AGI, but I have 2 feet of 28ga wire and Bakero wick sitting beside my empty IGO-W. Gonna try my first build later on today!

I would imagine there are ways to short the battery if the build is not correct. What should I keep in mind while building this thing to avoid that??

Take battery out while building, and keep the coils clear of cap on atomizer. You should check your build with a multimeter or other PV that can measure resistance before firing.

My biggest suggestion is to check out the Micro coil thread for a way to build a better coil vs low ohm.

Always check your coils with a meter.

Awesome I'll check the thread out. It seems like my friends almost always try to build at lower ohms, so that concept sounds MUCH safer in comparison. Thanks!
