Building my First RDA?

So i bought a k100 from my friend, with a nimbus rda and a ICR18650 2000mAh 3.7v battery, it had a single coil build on it when i bought it. I would like to build my own, start off with single then maybe goto dual? What coils and wick/cotton do i buy? I know theirs a bunch of different resistance and stuff. Someone let me know.

Get the cotton, it has great taste and can hold more juice, specifically organic cotton is a must have. Organic cotton doesnt have all the pesticides and other chemicals regular cotton has. All organic cotton has is the hydrogen peroxide as a die, but hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is broken down to H2O (water) and O (oxygen) when heated, so its pretty much safe. And single coils are alot different than dual coils, its all personal preference so i would recommend that you try both, experimenting, is all rebuilding is, until you have whats right for you.

As for the battery goes, I would HIGHLY recommend getting a new battery, preferably the best battery on the market right now, the Sony 18650 2100mAh VTC4's, as for being the safest and hardest hitting batteries. They are able to go all the way to 0.2 ohm's considering it to be "Safe". The batteries you currently have are not considered "safe" for rebuilding. And thats the most important thing about rebuilding, safety. Not only are they to safe, im guessing those batteries can only run 10Amps, and with rebuilding, that is VERY low. With 10 Amp batteries i would only consider going to as low as .5-.6 but i wouldnt go that low with those batteries.

EDIT:
Also it seems like your more of a beginner, I would suggest reading everything from battery safety, to ohms law. And when you rebuild your coil make sure you have a multimeter or atomizer ohm reader. Without either of the one I wouldnt recommend building a coil especially if your a beginner. Do what you want but just know that without knowledge, materials, or common sense, you can be putting yourself in danger. You dont want a battery exploding in your face, ever.

Will do, what coil material should i start off with?

I prefer Kanthal A-1 28 gauge, honestly if your a cloud chaser get something between 24-28 gauge Kanthal wire and your good. Since your pretty new I would suggest just starting off with 28 gauge Kanthal and your set

28 AWG (or anything lower) for a single coil would mean more wraps to get the resistance right which is a waste. 28 AWG however would be proper on a dual coil setup, but OP is a beginner with building coils.

More wraps as in more trail and error wraps or more wraps as in from 5 wraps to 10?? If it is the trial and error the best method is to make a coil with 3 wraps, and divide the total ohm by the wraps, giving you the resistance per wrap, which is basically little to no waste, and if your talking about more wraps as in 5 wraps with a 32 gauge or 10 from a 28 gauge, it is better to have more wraps, as the OP wants clouds. A 10 wrap, or microcoil, is covering more wraps per inch compared to a regular 4/5. And more per inch generates more heat, for bigger clouds.

@jayyco, you're right, but OP is new to rebuilding and didn't want him/her jumping head first onto something without first building single coils and getting familiar with Ohm's Law, battery amps draw, voltage drops, etc.
True, well no one should build any coil without knowing about ohms law, battery amps, volt drop, ect. But assuming he does that is what I meant in the last post. I started with a twisted 28 gauge my first build. But I also spent 2 weeks learning everything about ohms law, battery amps, volt drop, ect.

Well idk, I get loads vapor from my 4 wrap 26 Gauge on a 1/8 bit in my nimbus. Easy to build and puts out lots of vapor.

Well, without a doubt you will get more heat and vapor production with a micro coil,10 wrap, than a 4 wrap even with the same resistance. there is more wire covering more per inch, which is producing more heat per inch, basically having more area to burn the wick/juice

Minimum of stuff to get:
- 28awg and 30 awg wire. I wouldnt recommend any lower gauges until you get used to building.
- 18650 IMR batteries, preferably the vtc3 or vtc4 from sony, or the efest 1600 mah
- Cotton balls are great.. but a pain for a new builder. Peaches n cream ekru cotton yarn is awesome, easy, and just as good as cotton balls. No need to boil it either. Peaches n cream is organic, ekru is undyed.
- An Ohm reader or multimeter is a must have. DO NOT get these from fast tech or some other cheap company! Pay at LEAST 20 bucks for it, the uber cheap ones have huge error on them.

Then, trawl youtube for build videos and have at!
