I'm using 30 gauge kanthal with cotton, pretty sure i'm using the right amount of cotton but i'm not getting that great of flavor. What ohm should I use? and what wattage? I thought before that the lower the ohm, the higher you wanted the wattage but after reading a bit I guess this isn't the case?

I'm personally not a fan of variable wattage, so I'll answer from a voltage mode perspective.
The MVP2 has amp limits and protection circuitry which will prevent a coil resistance of less than 1.2 ohms from firing. Therefore, keep your resistance above 1.2 ohm or higher.
I typically take the resistance, add the number two, and use that number as my voltage. For example, a 1.5 ohm coil plus "2" = 3.5 volts.
I recommend using 28 gauge Kanthal instead of 30 gauge. You'll be able to use more wraps for additional coil surface area, and the wire is less brittle and easier to work with. I also recommend using a single coil, micro coil; not dual coils, for a regulated mod.

Thanks, mainly I was wondering what is the advantage of a greater/lesser resistance? Like I'm using 1.6 now, if I went up to 2 or something would it produce better vapor or more flavor?
Lower resistance provides more heat to the coil, vaporizing more liquid (more vapor) and also using more current from the battery. Since regulated mods are limited to how low in resistance they can go, 1.2 - 2.0 ohms works best. Higher or lower within this range depends upon your personal preference. Lower will a warmer vapor, higher will be a cooler vapor.
Individual flavors may taste better at a higher, or lower resistance/voltage level.
