Ok so I've been going back and forth on getting the cool fire 4 plus with the apex tank or the topbox mini.

I think I decided on the cool fire. But I've never owned a mod with a built in battery and I read that it has a excellent battery life. I'm just curious how many times can these built in battery be charged and drained before it has terrible battery life. I'm just curious because with the topbox once you battery life's not doing great you can always buy a new 18650 or whatever sozed battery. But with the cool fire you can't just buy a new battery.

Just curious if anyone suggest built in batteries or not built in batteries more.

I have only one mod with a soldered in battery, a Vapor Shark DNA40. The charger in it charges the Samsung 25R in a bit over an hour.

I don't know if it is passthrough capable, but even if it were I'm just not comfortable vaping it while charging so I have to wait an hour for the battery to charge. For me that's a negative for built in batts.

Charging a 2500 mAh battery in a bit over an hour pulls almost 2 amps from the USB power supply when it maxes out so I had to get a wall adapter that could handle that. I doubt any computer USB circuit could handle that safely, but I may well be a bit out of date with the latest computer tech. Keep in mind that if the mod's charger asks for 2A and the USB circuit can't deliver that safely or be intelligent enough to limit the output, the USB circuit will suffer and can die.

I can solder in a new battery when mine dies so that isn't much of a concern to me. OTOH I still prefer to be able to just plug in a fresh battery when I need to and go on vaping. If I had two of these mods it wouldn't be an issue, but two batts are a lot easier for me to handle than two mods :)
