Hello peeps~

I just build my very first coil ever. Woot! I got a Kayfun a month or so ago and went down to my local B&M and had my guy show me how to make one for that. I have been using that same coil and changing out the wick every so often until today. Today I got an M8 from the classies and I HAD to try a build. I cannot find a video anywhere to help me with any part of it and there were no instructions. I have been learning about ohms and watts and whatnot, got me an Ohm reader (not sure why because I have 2 MVP 2.0s and an Evic Supreme and was not planning to go sub ohm) but I watched a video of a 3-post dual-coil build and figured I had nothing to lose!

I used 28 gauge wire for 8 wraps each and ended up at .8. Since my Evic Supreme will not let me screw up with the voltage/wattage I stuck in my cotton and set it up. Seemed to work pretty good but I was not getting very large clouds. This tank fills by pressing the tip down which drops juice onto the deck. Pretty snazzy, but I have NO idea how many drops it takes.

Turns out not very many I think. I was messing around with the wattage to try and find one that gave me the experience I was expecting from a .8 build but I ended up leaking juice out of the air holes. Argh. Also, after a short time my build started reading .7 and it has stayed there since.

Sorry, there really is a question here, I swear! What I need to know is what is number for a .7 build? I was staying at the lowest setting the Evic would allow (12.4) and it was not enough I don't think. I just turned it up to 20.4 watts and that seems better but I got a lot of leakage after my first pull on it. Is that normal? Probably flooded it? I don't want to go too high and ruin the build. i am kind of attached to it at the moment, it being my first one and all. :)

Thanks for letting me ramble. Any tips you can give me will be much appreciated!! :vapor:

No you didn't post in the wrong place. You probably flooded it, just fire it a few times without adding more juice and you'll be golden, if you like the quality of the coils you can keep them and just replace the wick after you clean them. I can't really help you because i stay in the .29-.39 range of ohms so it is kind of hard to help you since I forgot what regular sub-ohming and non sub ohming was about. sorry.

That's okay, jdake. Thank you for responding! I got it sorted out and got the results I wanted. :) I forgot I had an app on my phone that would help me with builds and it suggested I vape at around 21 watts on that build and I finally found the sweet spot. One of my wicks burned off during the trial and error period (hence the flooding. The air holes are down very close to the deck on this tank) and once I replaced that wick I was in vaping nirvana. :vapor:

What app do you use?
