I have plenty of toppers that produce good quality vapor.
Now days I only buy toppers that look good to mine eyes and have a chance of beating IGO-F vapor quality; it's a hobby thing.
I got satisfactory vapor from toppers that are likely much less advanced than your PT2.

It's all about your budget and whether this is a hobby or just to stay off analogs. Once you enter the world of rebuildables, usually there's no going back. I started with an igo-l, then an aga-t2, then got some cheap clones from fasttech, lately I'm using mostly an ehpro kayfun. Before all this, I used an ego c upgrade battery and a pt2 and was quite happy with it, now, I think they suck and I never want to go back.
If you're happy where you are, then you might just want to stay there. Or at least make yourself a budget and save up some money before going on a spending spree and getting the wife upset (like I did).
Amen to that.... Rebuilders(IMO) take it to that level, that= hobbyist level= build a coil and it vapes nice then rip it out in search of better and repeat 1,000+ times.
That's the thing steelbender. I went to vape to stop analogs even though I haven't really smoked one in a couple years, I was doing nicotine lozenges for that long without tapering off and it was bad. The starter set I had was pretty crappy, so I figured why not get something a little better, so I got on here and started doing some research. Got a PT2 with an ego c twist. Since then I've gotten the Zmax (this is all in the last 3 weeks or so). I've also gotten a Davide tank that I like the air flow on, but with the Kanger coil heads, it's leaking juice. I haven't tried to figure out why really yet.
Up until yesterday, I had no interest in building my own. It wasn't until I saw SuperXDrift's videos on how to do it where I thought I will give it a whirl. It's definitely turned into a bit of a hobby and I'm not contemplating getting a mech mod, but I think the goal is to ultimately stop vaping (or nicotine) even though I'm only on 6mg now. I do enjoy the whole vaping experience and love the bigger clouds. I could probably do without flavor too, but I'm having fun trying to find an ADV. I've spent more in vaping equipment (i.e. batteries, APV, charger, juices, tanks, coils, etc) than I would have in analogs in the same timeframe, but I'm really enjoying the whole process.
Side note - I lowered the coil a little and it seems to have helped with the heat and I turned up the zmax to 10W and no problems with heating up the coil quickly. I am not getting a whistle from the airhole when drawing and I get some snap/crack/pop sounds. Is that about normal?

I've been rocking straight vg no nic no flavor for three days and its getting boring. Literally 0% throat hot and flavor. I do lung hits so its basically just breathing through a straw. Ya it keeps me off of analogs but I gotta throw in some flavor tomorrow because I'm getting cravings.

2009-2012: Vapor quality grade A to C. C was one of those bad days.
2013: Vapor quality grade A+. No more bad vape days.
2014: Hmmm...does it get better than A+....lets see.
I bet it is. It's nice to have some flavor but like I said, I'm still looking for an ADV. Pretty sure I need all VG cause my throat gets scratchy and my nose stuffed with the 50/50 I have been using. Was all but gone when I did 100%VG.
It's a nice vap no doubt, never really cared for pg myself. Just feels harsh and not right on lungs. I know oxymoron coming from a ex smoker...
I totally get it. Been more weazy, coughing and short of breath using PG than I ever did smoking.
Ya pure vg will give you a coating on your throat feeling? Kinda like milk but will take that any day over the pg feeling.
