To test the resistance(ohms)(symbol on multimeter looks like greek char 'omega'), which is what I assume you're trying to measure, you'll have to be able to put one probe on the
threaded part, and one probe on the center post (you didn't mention what atty, so I can't be much more specific)... Be sure your multimeter (a voltmeter would only test volts, and would not work for your purposes) is set to measure ohms (usually stated as 20ohm on the meter)...
