So I was looking around to see if I could find a better price than my normal supply and stumbled across Essential Depot, they are currently running a sale of 50% off (good until 02 Nov 12) and they have a package deal of 1 gal VG + 1 gal PG with free shipping for $48.06. Thats $24 / gal each, which is better than what I was paying. If you have a better deal then please disregard but I thought I would share this find. The sale may possibly get extended due to the current weather conditions we are experiencing on the east coast but my order will be put in on thursday.

Essential Depot (should) be well known for PG/VG (among other supplies for other DIY things like soap).
Anyways, I've found shipping prices(and therefore, overall price) to be better getting ED through amazon if you have prime on smaller amounts.

So then, anything in Deals and Steals, as well as positive reviews of where to buy juice, supplies, etc. on EFC is now spam?

OP may be spamming, or just sharing something they believe is a good deal. Guess it's hard to tell unless you figure it out and see if it really is a good deal or not..........and it does appear to be pretty good.

Since you can actually read people's previous posts, I noticed in one that the OP praises the Provari. Is a post like that spam, too? FWIW, this member appears to have made many posts and none of them are spam. I kinda like to see who somebody is before I determine if they are spammers.

There's nothing wrong with advertising a sale for a business. Essential Depot may not be the PG/VG choice for everyone, but many many people here use them. They also sell on Ebay, where they have 6,230 100% positive feedbacks. Spammer? I think not.

I don't know this business but generally I feel the less a company needs to spam advertising and still maintain a huge following the more likely the quality of the product is speaking for itself.

I just went to this companies website and read there MSDS & COA on there VG,,, it states there VG has up to a 1.5 level of Arsenic in it, I then went to my Proctor & Gamble MSDS & COA and it doesnt list Arsenic in it anywhere. I'm no chemist but would like an explanation on this, maybe by our well known ECF Chemist Kurt, or someone that may know what this Arsenic level and just the arsenic listed on this product means exactly. They have some other levels on there MSDS & COA that are also different then my P&G VG that I didnt like as well, especially the heavy metals number, theres is a 5 my Proctor & Gamble is a 1Max. Some clarification here would be nice, gonna PM Kurt and see what he says about this and if it matters. I know I really like my P&G VG as well as a couple of others, but all USP VG doesnt seem the exact same, it means it meets a requirement, and some of the ones I have used in the past seem to be better then others. I think the MSDS & COA would be the most important thing we could look at while buying VG over just price, as all USP VG doesnt seem to be exactly the same. I need to speak with Kurt, I will return with an update or ask him to possibly post on this topic.

No need to be condescending, I understand that posting a good deal benefits everyone. However, in your own post, you indicate that questioning this to be spam is akin to those posts in the 'Deals and Steals' thread. Well, of course that thread isn't full of spam, because the posts are in the correct area.

Now, if for some quantum miraculous chance that I am correct, and this person is indeed an affiliate of sorts to this particular company, they are not only posting in the wrong section (spamming their wares), they are breaking the rules, "New vendors (unregistered) : don't post anything - ANYTHING - that might be interpreted as having some sort of commercial connection, until you are authorised to do so. I'll admit, I have no proof that this person in an affiliate of this company. I merely suggested that it looked like spam. If I in error, I apologize to the OP. However, one way or the other, this is posted in the wrong section, period. Thus my reasoning of thinking it's spam. Perhaps the OP just didn't know the correct place to put it, then again perhaps I am right?

wow so this really blew up, Ok, so I will admit I did post on the other forums as well. The reason being is largely because of people like you Levitas on this forum, that instantly throw a gauntlet and say that my post is spam. There are many people that wont even log onto this site any longer because of this. I have what like ten or twelve total posts on this site? yep sure sounds like a plan, start an account, make posts here and there but log on almost daily for months just so i can randomly post that a business has a sale on a product that many people on these forums use, all as an attempt to drum up business for myself. That seems a little frellin stupid to me, but if thats your opinion whatever, you are entitled to it.

I check their facebook, I talked to the rep and she directed me to where the sales are usually at, and your post still has more detailed information that I could find. Thank you for the apology, I do accept, and I suppose in some fashion I can see where you were coming from, I think a bit of jumping to conclusions but ok, no harm no foul. The post was not meant as spam, I thought it was a good deal, bought four gallons myself, and thought I would share with fellow DIY'ers. Didn't realize that by sharing what I thought was a good deal needed to go into a special sub forum, and still not sure where it would have been better posted (let me know and if I ever do post a similar post I will ensure it goes there). As far as where I got the other information, it is because I entered the live chat that they have on their site, I am stationed in virginia and many people here as well as myself were expected to experience issues due to the hurricane and I did not want to miss the sale. If anyone would like I can post a transcript of the conversation.

Anyway I hope this is all settled now, for those that found it helpful I hope you enjoy, for those that did not, just disregard and move on.
