Thanks everyone!! When Wedge has younger his companion was a Siberian Husky. He wanted to be everywhere she went, so I tried to find him suitable cold weather attire. That is my hoodie, it didn't fit him as well as I thought it would but he looked so cute I couldn't help but take pics. I ended up just buying him a doggy jacket that fit much better!
There are a couple people in my family that call him "Tooth" lol. I love it! He's my special boy When I first got him he was actually so skinny that both of his bottom teeth stuck out. He's gained some weight now but that one just refuses to stay covered. I think I have a video...let me see. I hope this works. Please excuse the camera handling (and the crazy puppy talk lol), I am no professional
If that link works, here is part 2 (3 days later):
Oh Harmony those were such fantastic vids, it made my eyes water What a sweet pooch and a sweet human you are! I've gotten hooked on the show 'Pit Boss' and I've come to appreciate pittys so much more than I used to!
Thanks Plantlvr He is a sweet pooch! Although he warmed up to me in just a few days it has taken him years to get to the place he is today. He is still very fearful of people, but he has come a long way from the little skinny guy he used to be. I love Pit Boss!! "Rescue Ink" is one of my all time favorites! Although they deal with all kinds of animals, not just Pits.
Here's my little bully, Jazzmyn. She pitched a fit over my plumber yesterday. I wanted to pitch a fit after getting the bill to fix my plumbing issues. Could buy a very nice car for what it's going to cost me. So I really didn't try to hard to calm her down when she was going off on him, lol. (shame on me, )
The dachsie is my mom's pup Trixie. She's the worst bully of all.
But she was nice to the plumber....go figure.
Great pics Ms. GrannyDee. Need to get one of Jamie up, he's my mom and dad's lab mix. According to the shelter it's American bulldog, according to his looks, our vet, and his personality it's pit bull. dna test upcoming.
Pit bulls and bull terriers are two of my favorite breeds BHam sir, they're completely misunderstood. They got a bad rep from the pit days, but are both fantastic with the right owners. To know oneself is to know what type of dog you should own. If you're not of strong personality you have no business of having a stubborn breed of dog.... They are the original bullies, the bull terrier being called that near the start. The Boston terrier was actually originally called the American bull terrier or American bully, but the enthusiasts at the time were not happy with it. The Staffordshire terrier (pit bull) and Boston terrier share the same ancestors, just not the same pit past....
I'll admit Morandir sir that 'Pit Bulls' scare the hell out of me. I do not know the history or what the 'pit days' were but the rep is they snap and thats all those of us not familiar with the breed knows. Its all that makes the news. I've owned plenty of stubborn Huskies but nobody was ever afraid of them.....now I've been woosied down by my wife to yorkies! lol.....she said she didn't want any more big dogs....I suggested she didn;t want me to have a dog But I love most animals so its all good....big or small I usually fall for them.
Yeah, if those tv shows gave equal time to the nonviolent ones, wed probably see a different picture, like with just about everything else the news covers. I wish they'd do more indepth on the owner in these incidents.
While there might be a genetic tendency, its usually clear.by watching the owner to know how the dogs gonna be... If they are agro folks, well the dog will be too. If they take pride in how bad-... their dog.is, its gonna have issues. If the dog is tied up all its life, its gonna be frustrated...

Awww bushmaster I'm so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful baby!
And Mr. M I agree completely. They definitely have to know who is boss. And while mine aren't really playful unless they are puppies they are very loving and loyal. And lazy. Very very lazy lol.
I never really knew anything about pits before I got one, good or bad. Where I grew up a dog was a dog, no one had purebreds, they were all mutts and there was no telling what breeds were in there! But then we got Wedge and people said some crazy things to us! I brushed it off because he does look scary when he's scared, which is all the time lol. Although when backed into a corner the worst he's done is pee on himself, poor baby. Then we got Harmony and people said crazy things to us about her. We were asked to leave dog parks, lakes, etc. because of her. And she is the most friendly dog. She loves everyone! By that time I'd educated myself on their rep though. Its so sad how misunderstood and mistreated they are BSL is the worst! There are places in this country I will never visit because of their laws. It's so frustrating!
