My batteries are burning hot! I took my mod out of my bag and tried to turn it on. When it was on it got hot instantly and I proceeded to remove the batteries. The weird thing was that only the negative ends were melted. I'm not sure if it was the batteries or the mod because I have dropped my mod a few times before. I have the smok G320 with the baby beast tank at 0.215 Ohms. And batteries are IMR 18650 3000mAh 3.7V Brown batteries. Any answer will be helpful!!!

Would those brown batteries be lghg2?
If so, authentic or fake?
Did the fire button get pressed or stuck?
What power setting (w) was it on?

Sounds like the protection circuitry failed over current, over heat & vape time/length of time button can be pressed & held should've shut it off.
And/or insufficient/fake batteries were used.

Of course the batteries are no longer useable.

-Yes there are LGHG2
-I'm not sure if it's fake
-No it didn't get stuck
-80 watts

That Doesn't look right At All.

I would Strongly suggest that you Don't Use those Batteries again. And wouldn't use that Mod until you have someone look at it.

Do you have a Vape Shop near you?

Where did you get the those Batteries from?

Welcome and glad you joined. You need expert hands on help. I would not try to place new batteries in the G320 without expert knowledge.

Not good... this happened in your bag? if yes, something probably pressed the button down and caused it to run the full 10 seconds limit (depending on the mod)...

Are you sure that it's the negative side and not the positive (with the tip/pin) that was melted? That really wouldn't be common.

But regardless, those batteries are probably bad now, even dangerous...

If there's a local store with some decent expertise, have them check and test your mod, and get new batteries.

And yes, dropping the mod could have damaged it's board or broke internal wiring.

Its definitely the negative end and I cant figure out at all why. My best guess would be that the wraps were damaged at the negative end, but even that doesnt make much sense to me because of the way the batteries are meant to be installed on the G320.

If the mod was dropped many things can go wrong with the circuitry and its possible that any protection against installing batteries the wrong way could have failed. Is it possible that you had all the negative ends of the batteries facing the same direction?

ahhh.. just saw the PDF with the picture.

And yeah, that's not good, and looking at the mod's battery compartment, that is absolutely mind boggling how the negatives side of all three batteries were affected, (considering that one battery faces the other way) but not only that, but sideways (on the side of the battery like that) as your picture indicates.

The only thing that seems to make sense is that the mod components that are located in the compartment seriously overheated. Have you looked at the mod's inside where this "burning" is located? There's has to be some damage in there...

I'd go back to were I bought it if I were you, or try to get in touch with SMOK to return this so that they might have a serious look at a possible design flaw.
