Lol well in that case I guess I'll stick to my CE2's. I have some here that have been washed and dry-burned 40-50 times, and they still taste great. I can't kick what's working for me. :)

tweety doesn't clean, banjo!
her principle > use it and refill with 5 to 9ml juice then out it goes!

Neither do I. :)

They just look massive.

I'm ordering my Evods as we speak. At MyVaporStore, they come with a 2.4Ω coil; should I order a few 1.8Ω coils, just to try them? How do you like those LR coils on your T3s?

The 1.8 coils on the T3 perform like the 2.2 attys in the eGo-c for some reason for me anyway. I prefer the 1.8 on the T3's for habana, absinthe and the 2.2 for Ylang Ylang and Lotus. 2.5 is too weak even for Lotus - my weakest flavor. But 1.8 overwhelms Lotus. Ylang Ylang can stand 1.8 but tastes better at 2.2. Habana and absinthe lose flavor at 2.2 for me. All on standard eGo-c batts. My espresso is on a 1.8 T3 on a twist set to 4.4 to 4.5V. Perfect! LR eGo-c attys would burn all but the coffee/espresso mix.

I'd prefer the 1.8 on the evod - if that works for your order... but likely too late... I should have checked back in here

How do they clean up, Katya? One reason I like the top coils is that they're a breeze to dry-burn.

Banj,

I don't dry burn but soaking the T3 coil unit in 151 vodka does help clean up the coil and wicking. And I don't clean until there is a definite reduction in draw - 2 cleanings then pitch the coil unit - but even then it's after a month or two use. The plastic body holds up quite well. Mentholyptus from DV can get to the seals though. I only use that on occasion.... colds, sniffles - it cuts through anything. lol. I've only thrown out two tanks on the T3's and have ben using them almost exclusively since they hit the market.

I've pretty much learned over time that I probably picked the absolute worse juice in the world for trouble-free vaping: Tasty Vapors Tobacco/Menthol. I can run at most about 3ml through a CE2 or Nova before I have to clean and dry-burn the coil. I put up with it only because the taste is so damn good. I'm getting to be an old dog now and the idea of starting a search for a new menthol flavor just wears me out. :p

I hear ya... there are certain flavors that are going to cause problems no matter what devise you use. Since I only vape mentholyptus on rare occasions - the absolute strongest I've ever tasted in any menthol category - I haven't had to handle it as much as others. Early on - (I was a Salem smoker) I had some good menthols - Drew's Nuport and Janty's Newport but that was on 510's or Janty Sticks and they didn't cause any problems then ;-) I had a few problems with visions with my absinthe but none on the T3's.

And I'd be the same way if for some reason habana reserve was corrosive - I'd just go through lots of attys/clearos. Glad you found a flavor you love - hope they don't change it  ... that's happened to me early on with RY4 and capp. Decadent Vapours has been consistent - plus I can DIY to the same flavor - for going on close to three years now. Finding the right flavors for me has been one of the biggest money savers - I don't go for every new batt mod that comes out... i don't care about readouts   I know the V's and Ω's and W's I'm vaping. ;)

They should be easy to dry burn, but I don't dry burn my coils anymore. The last ones I dry burned were my CE2s (those seemed to gunk up in no time) and my eGo-Ts. Once the changeable coils began available, I just soak them in vodka and re-use a few times. And then "out they go." Happiness is fresh atomizers!

I also perform occasional "wet burn;" I fill the tank halfway with pure PG or PG/VG mix a couple of times, crank up the voltage and vape until the juice runs clear. I feel this method is safer than dry burning as it doesn't stress the coil. And it's very effective.

That said, I use clean, clear and barely-flavored eliquids, so my gunk problems are relatively minor.

Oh, TV Tobacco! :D

I got in trouble once in Badkolo's old CE2 R4 thread when I mentioned that TV juices are notorious for leaving a lot of sediment on the coil. I was brutally assaulted by an outraged TV fan.... I'll be forever grateful to you, BR and Arjay for defending me and my honor.

(I was a Salem smoker)

Kent. I recently ordered a "free" sample of the new Enjoy King, just because I was curious. It arrived today. I swear--it feels and tastes like a Salem cigarette. Either that or my memory is going.

They sell them here for 9 bucks, which is a ridiculous price, but they really feel very much like the real thing. Even the filter is sort of soft.

I was a Salem smoker, too (Salem Ultra Lights for the last few years).

If memory serves even the tobacco/menthol juices taste WAY better than the old Salems. I don't think I'd want an ecig that tasted like the real thing.

i was a Salem Light smoker too, but broke the menthol addiction in order go to a brand that would also be suitable for Peggy. We settled on Winston Ultra Lights because they had less tar and nicotine than any other brand. However, I still keep a dedicated cartomizer and battery loaded with menthol for occasional use. The juice was originally named Salem Menthol, but the vendor was forced by R. J. Renolds to change it.

As far as taste goes, I have never found a juice that tastes like a real tobacco cigarette. But then, I didn't pay any attention to the taste of a cigarette once I became accustomed to the brand. I just burnt them suckers up and lit another one.

Not so with the e-cigs. Like you, they taste better better and I don't want them to taste like the real thing. That is one of the reasons why it was so easy for me to quit smoking and go to them.

So I don't want a device to emulate a cigarette. Mine doesn't look like a cigarette, taste like a cigarette, smell like a cigarette, feel like a cigarette, work like a cigarette, burn like a cigarette, or cost a much as a cigarette. I don't even think about them things anymore unless someone brings up the subject. I quit them things years ago and became juice junkie.

Wow. Dry-burn more than 7 times? I believe you, but I never had any such luck with any of my CE-2 cartos - after about 5 dry-burns, the coil would break. Or the wick would be burnt so black there was no saving it! LOL. What's your secret?

I vaped NJOY back when I was first vaping. Cartos are expensive as hell, but not too bad. Since this little sample is free, I'm getting one LOL. They have really caught on here, seems like everybody - and I mean everybody local has them now - both the regular starter kits, cartos, chargers, and yes, even the disposables.. Hmmmmmmmmm... Still, I'm sticking to my Line/OG Puck. There isn't a carto out there that can compare - to me, anyway. I like massive clouds of vapour! The whole room is filled with FOG when I start vaping. Have to run the ceiling fan to dissipate it.. Still, I eNJOY holding a ciggie lookalike on occasion; it brings back the memories of when I first started vaping and all the $$ I spent trying to find that right carto for me!
Vape on, y'all!
