Now that I have read all the current posts, I'll say that this one about filler type carto tanks caused my question about their originally. The following is what I remember:

The idea of a tank with a filler type cartomizer inside came from Gummey Bear. He came up with it almost a year after we were installing CE-2 guts inside of all kinds of clear things. His first one was made out of grommets and a clear tube from a local hardware store. He whacked a hole in the lower part of a filler cartomizer and then banged everything together with a hammer. Different vendors copied his idea and I suppose you can still buy kits of this type with pre-punched cartomizers and clear tanks.

You're right BR :thumb: It was about a half year later after CE's came on the scene:

In searching, saw a lot of 'tries' lol... I remember making a no filler cartridge for the 510 with just sponge material (bit before blue foam) on the top. And Scottbee sent me some of those 'tan' cutouts that someone made and sold.... forget the name now....

Dang I thought I found the oldest BR bottle mod pic in existence, but you done beat me.

In my defense, it's a chore looking through all those old posts. :p

Here's another one that you probably missed. The mouthpiece on this one fits on the ceramic cup and seals the reservoir.

This brass mouthpiece was my first mod for a CE-2. My brother made this prototype for me in September of 2010.

See the ECF post here ------> http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...zer-technical-discussion-158.html#post1849024

I began making them out of clear acrylic when I got my own lathe.

I've been saying all along how simple and how well this mouthpiece works, but no one payed much attention. That is, until recently. Here's one I just found out about that may come very close. For some strange reason it even looks almost like mine, heheh. It should be for sale later on this month.

I may have to buy some of these things just to find out.

i remember the juice bottles, but not the mouthpiece, BR. Funny how people are finally starting to catch up with you ;)

It's also funny how people call the mouthpiece a drip tip now, even if it is similar to mine and cannot be used as such.

Edit - What do you think about the new Fluxomizer?

I don't know much about the new fluxomizer. A friend is using something similar- her carto looks a bit like it, or like the old clearo CE2, and she's quite happy with it.

(I think I've added liquid through a "drip trip" less than a dozen times in the past 4 years...and i've never really gotten the hang of "dripping" )

Very interesting discussion! Well, actually the search for a continuous or automatic atomizer feeding system predates both the E2 and the bottle/syringe/carto tank mods. I believe Imeothanasis was the first one to introduce a successful AFS.

Our wonderful modders came with all kinds of homemade devices that fed the atty continuously.

At the same time, cartomizer users kept trying to keep their beloved cartos from burning and to improve the feeding systems--thus all kinds of mods and improvements appeared in rapid succession sometime in the early-mid 2010; bottle mods (hi, BR:)), syringe mods, first homemade carto tanks, Royal Smokers (MiT) clear cartomizers, Gummybear tanks, Stormy tanks, MAP tanks, Joyetech sort of hybrid cartomizers with very little filler and then Ovale's (and Joyetech) eGo tank atties.

And then of course there was Raidy--and all those who followed his path. :D

Yeah, it's really exciting to watch the vaping technology change and improve.

Hi Tweety,

talking about an automatic feeding system, I saw this ecig by jessetech out of south korea called the autobot. It premiered (I believe) at Vapetoberfest in Long Beach. It was described as, "The Autobot is motor-powered auto-dripping telescoping mod. It contains a small motor that, when powered, automatically feeds juice up to the coils on the atomizer." It really looked cool but all information says it is not available in the states.:?:

p.s. Anyways, I wanted to feel like I contributed something to this thread.:D

I am having a problem with my cartomiser burning. Am I in the right place?;) What about burning fluxomizers?

You are in the right place if you have a problem with the filler burning in your cartomizer. Tell us more about your problem and someone on this thread can probably discuss it with you.

Fluxomizers and other cartomizers similar to them do not have a filler, so they do not burn.

I like BR being BR...

I like Pepper being Pepper too

:)

What are you trying to say, Chris? (rhetorical question, but I know you know that... it's only tibby that I have to remind:D)

 except for the expense of all those frying pans needed to keep him on the straight and narrow!

You know what I'm not getting you for Christmas? (rhetorical question:D)
