Since this thread seems to have gone wildly off topic AND no one else will talk to me because they think I'm only posting to try to sell them SmokeStiks....( as if I even could!!!! RFLMAO) I'll take a shot at posting here. These are the new tanks I have recently tried:

Tatroe from CigTech
Kamry X6 Springloaded center pin...woohoo!
AGR DCT comes with two different tank sizes and a very interesting setup that locks in the carto.

I know...I know...pictures or it didn't happen...LOL.........I need to get to work right now but will come back and post the photos of these tanks on my 18650 SuperT. But....I actually have a question.........

I want to love tanks...I really do. And I'm not a total idiot so I know everything I'm using is working correctly and when it doesn't I know how to fix it. (almost always any filler less tank problems are either center pin mating or a drop of liquid in the air tube). But here is what I have noticed....I really just am not impressed with them. I know it sounds counter intuitive but I LIKE the flavor of a good carto best. I find that I can take the same liquid that I LOVE in a DCT tank...put it in one of these fillerless bottom coil tanks and it not only loses most of its' flavor it loses it's throat hit as well. What's up with that???????? Is it because I steadfastly refuse to use VV and am only vaping at 3.7V ? I know some will jump on that and say yes but.....these devices are low ohms....1.8 to 2.0 usually....so shouldn't I be getting MORE flavor an TH even at 3.7V?

and it's made by some no-name vendor called "Max Vapour". I got it at a gas station convenience store here in Cresson.
 Please be careful! "no name" and "gas station" should not be in the same sentence as eliquid. Maybe Max Vapour is a good company..I don't know them. Just saying....don't buy juice on a whim...there are SO many excellent juice makers here at ECF...many of them specialize in "hookah" type flavors that are very good. Ask around and find out what people here are buying for hookah flavors.

I know...that's what I mean...everyone else says exactly the opposite. And now since wonders will never cease and the mail guy actually delivered packages to my house....you can add a DBox Puri Tank and two different Raven tanks...A Baby Raven and a Regular Raven.. Oh and a Kanger ProTank. So far the one that performs the best for me is the Evod on an Ego battery.

Again, there is nothing "wrong" with any of these tanks. They produce clouds of vapor and the because of the springloaded pin the Kamry has allowed me to take my antique SuperT out of storage. (it was never made for tanks..they hadn't been invented yet so it has issues with center pins) It just seems like I am having an experience that is completely opposite of what everyone else says and it's going to drive me nuts until I figure out why...LOL.

So I just tried the DBox Puri...same thing. Clouds of vapor...no TH and little flavor. Does anyone else use these kind of tanks on 3.7v devices????

I would love to try them at a higher voltage...and SOMEONE.....was supposed to be making me a VV Evercool coffin mod...but ahem....it has not been made yet.

DBox Puri on an 18350 Twig from Ecig Workshop....check them out. Awesome custom made wooden mods at a fantastic reasonable price.

hey! I just tried a new carto and I really like it!!! I know I'm probably way behind the times...but this is a first for me. It's the Stallion from GotVapes. As far as I know they are the only folks to carry them . It's made by Ritchy ? Anyway...it's a hybrid semi-fillerless XL carto with the horizontal coil at the TOP. Now you well know I'm a carto snob...LOL But these are really really good so far. Keep in mind I only vape at 3.7V so I can't speak to higher voltages. But right now they are $7 a 5pack. You really can't go wrong at that price. They come in prefilled and punched as well. Here's the little blurb from their website:

GotVapes and RITCHY present the GotVapes STALLION™ Hybrid 510 Cartomizer - a unique, well-performing hybrid that features less filler than a conventional filler carto, holds a whopping 2.2ml of eJuice in a top-coil design with an effective 2.0 ohm performance on a 3.0 ohm coil, thereby causing less battery drain and longer carto life. The STALLION™ is engineered for energy efficiency on the coils by utilizing a design that decreases temperature and liquid loss and provides improved airflow turbulence, all of this contributing to a delightful 2.0ohm effective performance!

I'm going to punch one and try it in my new AGR tank. I'll keep you posted. :D

finally.....the voice of reason! I knew it would come from you...LOL OK...thankyou.....so really it is like everything else in vaping...we are all unique and just because someone else loves something doesn't mean we will. And my experience with these Stallion cartos just proves that...because these are top coil and essentially fillerless. I think they have a little ceramic cup in them that the horizontal coil sits in. Cool..so we are back on topic...LOL

Still using the same Stallion I started yesterday. I will use it until it die and then in the spirit of this thread and Katya...I will sacrifice it to the carto God and do an autopsy. If it becomes a Zombie carto and refuses to die...I'll do an autopsy anyway.

but wouldn't that be great if all this time..right under our noses is the almost perfect cartomizer? They appear to only come in 510 so KR8 users are out of luck. :( But if enough people asked them you never know...they might be willing to do a run of KR8's.

CES...are you interested in trying one? Tib? I'll just send one to Katya since I know she's not around atm. I hope she is OK? Give me some time to order some more but I'll try to get them in the mail next week.

Hey Lori been reading your posts with interest. I have a bunch of bottom coil tanks collecting dust here. Very little throat hit for me. And the flavor just doesn't come through for me at all. I don't like them. There does seem to be a lot of vapers happy with them though.

I went back to using the CE2s. I like the top coil and warmer vapor. I still haven't found a carto that gives me a better throat hit.

Thanks for mentioning the Stallion. It seems to be designed like a CE2 in some aspects. I googled it and one reviewer mentioned it was a cross between a CE2 and a Boge. Haven't read the whole article yet.

Oooo la la! Yeah, I always say "Shake it but don't break it" LOL. I'm telling you, some of the moves you have to do really wake up muscles you didn't know you had! Yeah, I like to vape some while doing some of the lighter stretches. Things are loosening up, but at age 55, it's a bit slow going...
Kinda like that old 60s song "Twisting The Night Away" heheheeeee.
Happy vaping, all y'all!

I found out after 55 it's all slow going.:( Well.....maybe not everything.:p

Thanks for posting that Zelda! I was really starting to feel like there was something wrong with me. Well...you know...other than the stuff that's really wrong with me.

Sadly, I just found out that the Stallion won't fit in these new AGR carto tanks. But I am confident they will work just fine in a carto tank where the carto passes through an o-ring. I'll try one out later and let you know.

I think I got burned out on the top coil technology because when it first came out it was bunk. I threw away my VivaNova in a fit of rage two years ago and I still have a drawer full of original Kanger clearo's...with the stubby little wick at the top. So I quit paying attention to them. But I think you're right. The new generation of top coil stuff is worth another look.

But the bottom line for me is that I still just really like cartos. I'm actually shocked that anyone is even still making those old style crappy vertical heating coil ones. However, they do just fine in a tank because they never dry out. Which going all the way back to the OP...is the secret of cartos. PM me your address and I'll send you one of these Stallions to try. I'm willing to send out 5 of them so there is one more spot left for someone who is/was a serious carto tester from this thread. Anyone else want to try one?

Here is my new "all day sucker"...LOL That's an Osage orange/yellow heart wood 18650 with a 2100 mah battery in it. (mod from Ecig Workshop) And that is the AGR tank I'm talking about from Got Vapes. They have already tweeked it and released a "second gen" version that uses Pyrex instead of polycarb tanks. It comes with two tank tubes! the other one is a shorty that will take a standard 35mm carto. Take note..you can NOT use flanged cartos for this tank. It is meant to be used with regular cartos. I really like the filler screw at the top. And that little guy is a Gripper with a Stallion carto in it. A good protected 18350 battery and that thing hits as well as anything else I have. I love it to just throw in my purse..stealth vaping and you can't hurt it.

I just don't like tanks or bottom coils much. Even the new bottom coil clearomizers. Just personal preference.

I remember trying my first cartomizer in the fall of 2009!! It was an 808 from Good Prophets.

That's a fine looking setup. Beautiful looking mod. And the Gripper is small and convenient.

Yes I have to admit, I'm losing my patience with tanks altogether. My desk is covered with all manner of ecig equip that I can only use at home. Looking at the photos of a certain actress sporting her new ProVari with a monster tank on it just reinforces that for me. I'm sorry but it looks ridiculous. When I went to visit my daughter a few months ago some sweet person (hi Spacekitty!) had just sent me a Smok Telescope as a gift. It's still one of my favorite mods because it's so light. So I'm wearing it on a lanyard and my new son-in-law walks up to me and says....What IS that? A sex toy? LOL!!

Anyway..back to tanks vs cartos/clearos.....I have yet to figure out how to fill a carto tank without having there be 20 minutes of screwing around afterwards dealing with the leaking out the bottom of the carto. Even this new one with the filling port does it. Once you get them right they are fantastic.....but how can you deal with something like that when your away from home? I think these Stallions are going to be the answer for me. Did I mention they hold 2ml of liquid? And that's not hype,,,,they really do. I don't know if I even want to chance ruining one trying to put it in a tank.

oh..and wonders never cease...I DO have a VV voltage device! I forgot I had an Innokin iTaste packed away. I got on of the original ones with the magnetic heads and I finally put it away because it ...... me off too often. The magnetic connection isn't real sound so sometimes it works and sometimes it just doesn't. But for testing these cartos it should be just fine.

I've made a post with pics here about Boge cartos. They burn inside just like this one. Strangely I can never smell any burning plastic but it's burning be sure of that. I like the Boge but I didn't give up smoking cigarettes in order to suck on burning plastic from cartos. So I don't use them much these days. But clearos suck and dripping is a pain in the ....

We are all very familiar with the burning filler of vertical coil cartomizers. Have you tried the horizontal coil carts? They are not easy to find but Kanger makes them for the 510 which is what I assume you are using. I don't know about the KR8. Not sure why you don't like clearos..there are some very good ones out there. You might really like to try either the Stallion from GotVapes or the CE2 cartos. Both are top coil, essentially fillerless..so nothing to burn. And refillable many times. Good luck!

here is the Kanger horizontal cartos in both regular and XL length. They are typical filler style cartos but have a bottom horizontal coil so they are very hard to burn. Keep them topped off and they will never burn.
