Yes, but a bit of additional information is needed. What device are you using? With bottom coil and even cartos you have to draw in order for the liquid to enter the coils. You have a vacuum in the tank, so with out drawing the available liquid at the coil is atomizing without being replinished.

Thank you. I have the Vision Spinner 1300mAh ego twist with a KangerTech mini protank 2.

The wick is usually silica rope, which does not burn.

So perhaps you are talking about burning out the coil?

If you hold down the fire button at high volts and dry wick, the coil will burnout.

Before I switched from the ego-c, ego-t batteries to a regulated VV/VW mod, I would press the fire button for about a second prior to taking a puff on occation. This was due to either the battery being low or the atomizer head in the tank needing to be replaced. Either will cause a drop in vapor production. By giving the atomizer head a 'head start' prior to vaping, vapor production could be kept relatively constant.
If you are doing the 'head start' with a fully charged battery, I suggest you replace the atomizer head in your tank.
If you are doing the 'head start' with a weak battery, I suggest you replace the weak battery with a fully charged battery.

Are you getting dry or really harsh hits? I ended up taking the rubber grommet off the chimney on my kangar tanks. It's a lot better for me. Something else I do about every 7-10 hit , I plug up the three Airholes on the and take a big dry hit or two, just like priming. Seems he vapor and flavor is improved 10 fold when I do this.

Yes the coil, sorry. After refilling my tank, I usually hold the ecig up to my ear and press the button to make sure I can hear it and that its working. Sometimes I have to unscrew the tank and screw it back on to get it to work. So that could be why my coils are burning out so quickly huh?

You are using a miniprotank2 ? Hmmm; the positive pin down the center of you vision spinner might be pressed in;

So have any of your coils actually burned out, or you mean after 10 seconds it seems to turn off? The battery itself fires for 10 seconds if you are holding it down - safety feature.

The atomizer heads are very variable- it all depends on where you got them; some will leak and you have to prepare them yourself;

You are using a very thick liquid?
