I have a lavatube v2 with a vivi nova that has a 2.8 ohm wick. The last wick burned up after only vaping 7ml of fluid. I did not actually burn up, but that is when it started tasting burnt which is when I change them. The wick is slightly colored but not brown. Is this normal? Would constantly keeping my vivi nova full help make the wick last longer/ is letting the fluid get low bad? I usually vape between 4.7 and 5.1 volts.

i have a different ecig, but i do have to change the wick in my atomizer. the wick will turn slightly brown, as it absorbs the e liquid, as it's brown. its also normal for the burnt taste to become stronger over time, but after 7ml its not normal for you wick to burn out. i have an ecig shop near by and they have told me that i can wait until my ecig stops producing vapor, a sure sign that the wick is completely burnt. they say a very strong taste starts to happen, hope that helps. if your wick has burned up, you should try to return your product as it may be under warranty.

Pretty high on the volts. Personally I don't vape anything above 4.4. When my juice gets 1/4 left I top it off or put it back in the bottle to make a switch. You should also work the juice onto the wicks. Rotate it, turn it upside down. Wicks don't always wick. Sometimes you gotta help em'. I vape mostly 50/50. Whats your juice %?

keeping the wicks in the vivi nova wet are key to making it work well. One singe on the wicks and that taste never seems to come out. If you feel really adventurous, check into putting a stainless steel wick in your vivi. I rolled a nice tight thin wick for mine and a 4/5 wrap of 32g Kanthal...night and day difference. I take the wick out every couple weeks and torch any buildup off of it and wrap a fresh coil, cant beat it. (on a vivi at least)

Do you have a link on where to buy a SS wick?
I bet you are vaping at a higher voltage. I had to stop using the Vivi and go back to carto tanks because of this. I like vaping at higher voltage and taking long drags. The vivi just kept burning heads on me no matter how high of ohm heads I used.

What carto tank do you recommend?

Are you cleaning and dryburning the heads?
I'm just replacing the head/wick
