Burning wick

I am using Halo Tribecca 12 mg in a Prometheus clone on an innokin itaste 134. I rebuild a coul 32 guage with nine wraps on a 3.0 silica wick. I am finding the wick buring after maybe one or two days of vaping. I vape on a 7 (very low). I am thinking either two many wraps on the coil or the tribecca (which is 8 months old) is too thick. WIlling to try anything to fix this problem. Also I find the Prometheus clone very airy even with only leaving 1/3 of the smallest hole exposed. If I close anymore the wick burns quicker. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thanks guys :)

Right, a silica wick won't burn. It will gunk up. And unlike cotton, which will just burn, dry burning is recommended and needed. The frequency of that is affected by a lot of variables, and each flavor may have it's own rate. If it's a favorite flavor, you may just have to live with the slight extra maintenance.

Or switch to cotton and just replace the wick as needed, after cleaning and dry burning the coil.

Higher power while vaping can help, but isn't always the taste you want. :)

And you may want to try some AWG 30 instead of the 32. It's a bit thicker (and therefore lower Ω per inch, so an extra turn or so to hold the same coil value) and will survive the re-wicking a bit longer.
