burnt cartomizer, no warning

so im sitting at my computer vape vape vaping away and no warning i get the nastiest burntest taste ever. so i pulled my carto apart and found this..... btw this is a smoktek dual coil 1.5ohm carto and my Kgo... when i tell you it was the nastiest thing ever im not exaggerating. i inhaled and got an instant terrible feeling in my chest, a headache. oh and i had just topped this cart off with menthol 6mg

The coil went rogue on a dry spot it appears. Either that or it flat out shorted against the wall of the cartomizer. Does the battery still work?

yes the battery still works fine. that cart is about a week old, and i am i pretty light vaper.

Doesn't matter how full it is if it dries out at the coil. It can only wick so fast. This is particularly true with thicker (higher VG) juices. Also, cartos are disposable, so 1 week is nothing to shed tears over. However, I know they can last longer. So....

* Pause between vapes.
* Use thinner juice. Thin it with PG and/or PGA and/or water (few drops is all that's usually needed).

not to worried over the carto. just never had this happen before. it was terrible and i hope it never happens again. worst thing ive tasted in my life. litterally felt like i got kicked in the lungs haha.

The worst thing I've ever tasted was a cigarette, about 4 months after I switched to vaping. None of these burnt flavors I've had from vaping gear can compare to that, or even hold a candle to it.
