I am new here but I am curious as to why I am getting a burnt flavor sometimes.

I use an Itaste VV battery with a Kanger Protank mini v2.

I usually try to stick around 4 volts. 2.4 ohms
50/50 juice

Im very glad to see this isnt all in my head. Im using almost the exact same setup. Same problem. Cant find any fix for it atm.

Your over driving the wick.....
I use 40/60 and take lung hits. I run 7.0 watts or 3.9V over a 2.2ohm coil.
I had the same problem. I remove 1 of the wicks sometimes both and give it about 2-3 priming draws before I fire it. Kind of a PITA but it dose the trick. As you get about 1/3 full you will feel a bit of a gurgle so back off the priming hits so you don't flood the coil. Its kind of a "by feel" thing. If you do flood take the tip off and let it drain for a minuet or to then back in business.
Don't fire it more then 2 draws in a row or you will get a burn. let it rest 30 seconds after you fire and you should be good to go....
