Hi Bruce,

I don't know what voltage my batteries are... I have a tried the E2 cartos with XL battery, Regular length, and a shorty (all from V4L). I've found out that the E2 cartos work perfectly fine with the XL, but developes a bad burnt taste with others. I guess it's a compatiability issue and not a quality (E2) issue. Thanks for your concerns tho...

Hey Chocopie,
Is it one carto or more then one?
You should not be tasting any burnt flavors if you have filled the carto and are using a 4v or less battery.
If I can help, please pm me.

I got my CE2s yesterday. I tried the 808s first on my pass through. I got 2 nice puffs then burning taste. I set it aside for a few minutes and filled another 808. I put this one on my VK XL. Same thing, 3rd puff was burnt. I looked at both of the coils and both looked very dark and dry. Next I tried an XL 510 CE2 on my Riva. Exactly the same results. There seems to be no wicking at all. I put 1 drop on the coil/wick of the Riva and got one good puff then looked at the coil again. It looked dry again. While looking at the coil I pressed the button and got a big cloud of smoke in my face. Help would be appreciated.

I had to drip to taste the juice you sent me. The juices taste pretty good for the time I have spent with them.

I just got my 510 E2 XL's and they are great! Very loose draw takes some adjusting, but excellent flavor. And service! I got the 'in stock' email when I got home from work Monday and placed the order - they were here Thursday morning! From Jersey to So FL I'm beginning to suspect you're driving them half way here! Thanks for the prompt delivery.

I did notice the oily substance, mentioned in other threads, on top of the fill ring. I soaked them for a while in Everclear and dried for a day (be sure to sling out the alcohol). No notice of bad taste when fired up. I do recommend wetting the coil as you reload and give your juice a chance to wick up before giving it a burn.

Bigbuyer, thanks for the great service and for the E2s.

This is what I did to completely rid the burnt taste:

1. Take out all three rubber pieces: the cap, mid rubber piece, and the bottom rubber stopper with two holes.
2. boil the cartos for 5-10 mins.
3. dry burn until no more smoke comes out and the coil turns bright red.
4. repeat steps 1-3.
5. fill with juice (you can use a pippette or a syringe to fill approx. .5ml on each side, but I usually drip straight from the bottle).
6. replace the rubber stopper with two holes upside down (I find it almost impossible to fit the stopper back in snug)

Instead of replacing the mid rubber piece and the cap, I use the drip-tip that I bought from Bruce. It works like a charm. PM me if you need additional assistance. Hope this helps :)

I have had nothing but horrible wicking issues with mine. My kr808 batts(3.7 nominal) dry these 2.5v ce2 wicks quick. I have gone as far as to rip the wick out of one and put it in the "slot"(atop the present wick) and fill area of another. I got about 5-6 good puffs out of it before the "chewin on charcoal" taste. Hopefully the version 4 will come with a choice in cart voltage(3.0 or higher) and will wick better...alot better. These are just not worth the time, money and juice that I have wasted. Disappointing as the "good puffs" taste great.

I am expecting the new ver 4 E2's to be much better and address these issues.
Neonrust, sounds like you have had more of an issue than most.
I have had no wicking issues since ver 3. My last delivery was ver 3.5 and was much better.
Contact me, so we can work something out.

Hi Bruce,
I don't think that I have had more of an issue,,,these just don't seem to work well with 3.7 vapor-king V4L batteries. Two others in this thread have had a similar result with similar gear. I have high hopes for future versions as they will revolutionize the vapor world and completely stop the use of filler. :) I appreciate the offer to work something out. What do you suggest?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Bruce,
I just received my wetbox today. I have never vapped with a cartomizer before.
Couple things I have noticed, I'm not sure if normal. The vapor production seems very low compared
To a standard 510 atty with a cart, the cartomizer gets extremely hot and how long does it take for the
burning taste to go away. I'm using a trustfire 14500 3.7v 900mah battery.
Thanks
Mike

---Neonrust, I suggest sending me a pm and we can work on something good.

---Mikecup, 1st make sure you are starting with a new cartomizer and priming it with about 5 or more squeezes of juice. That should eliminate the burnt taste. Once its in the carto it does not come out. As for vapor production and good taste, I suggest a regular E2 cartomizer, that is what I use!

Thanks I put another cartomizer on the unit, all good now.
Vapor is very nice and unit works well.
That cartomizer that you sent with the wetbox, seems very poor, just my opinion.
But I'm a happy guy now!
Thanks again
