Hey Vapors,
I have seen a ton of posts with people asking about "burnt taste" and I have noticed that this is not specific to any one type of devise but it happens to all devises... so here is some advise.

Burnt is Burnt....you will not get the taste out...only thing to do is re-wick....or replace the coil assembly.

Vodka does not make burnt disappear.
Washing your coil head does not make burnt disappear.
A Catholic Priest cannot preform a exorcism on your coil and send burnt to hell.

The real mystery is "How did I burn this"?
This is a true mystery, but most of the time it happens when to much "Voltage" was applied to a coil.
Sometimes it happens when Voltage is applied to a "Dry" coil.
BUT there are times when they just burn...I have done it with a 3.7fixed volt ego batt on a 2.4 ohm coil for no reason it just burnt half way through a tank..

In all cases of Burnt...you must re-wick or change the coil to get the taste right.

using a RBA is a bit different ...if you are just dry burning a SS coil you wont get "burnt" I am more referring to silica wicked coils like the ones found in the popular clearo's..
also the filler material and insulator material that gets singed

I had a singed iclear 30 coil that I have tried all the voodoo tricks on while waiting on vape mail..and there is nothing to be done besides removing the burnt material.

I use silica wicked coils all the time. You would be hard pressed to get a SS wick in this A7.

Any single coil clearo I've ever tried uses silica wick and could be dry burned resolving flavor issues. Yes, all the other voodoo tricks may not help, the dry burn is king here. The iclear 30 is a dual coil which I have never tried, so can't comment on it. I use VVN's and CE4's in my regular rotation and they last a long time. Even without dry burning, a burnt hit or three with these does not significantly affect flavor for me.

Cartos may be susceptible to burnt hits. There is no way to dry burn them. I use them regularly and have never had an issue, but I rarely get burnt hits.
