Hi all,
I’ve started to re-use my V2 cartridges with their V2 premium E-juice, making sure that when I do, I drip onto the sides of the filler and not down the center hole. I generally leave them to settle of a while before use.

My problem is that after 20 puffs or so, sometimes before, I get a burnt taste and the cartridge is no longer usable.

Am I drawing to deeply? When I purchased them originally it didn’t seem to matter if I drew deeply etc. the cartridges seemed to be able to handle it. Or perhaps I’m doing something else wrong?

Thanks
Damon

Yes, you should be able to. I've never used the V2 cartos, but I do use Boge and Smoktech single coil LR blank cartomizers all the time and they can handle 6-10 ml of ejuice, more if tanked, depending on the juice, of course. Dark, heavy, sweet juices will gunk up the coil much faster than clean and clear juices...

Have you considered just buying different cartomizers for your batteries? Any kr808D-1 threaded carto will work with your V2 batteries. Or you could also try mini kr808d-1 clearomizers, like Kanger T4--no filler at all.

Also, the obvious:

1) Once a cartomizer tastes burnt, it is burnt--the filler is ruined and you have to toss it. Trying to refill a burnt-tasting cartomizer is futile. :)

2) Make sure that you add enough eilquid to the cartomizer--a standard carto holds ~1 ml or 20 drops; if you don't add enough juice, your cartomizer will burn!

I only got 6 weeks vaping so this is just a guess, but I burned up a 2 brand new Smoktech 1.7ohm back to back. Using a ProVari, I put the First one on and tried to cycle threw the menu to check the ohms and a puff of smoke came out of the drip tip. 2nd one I first turned my volts down as far as it would go 2.9 then screwed it on went to check the ohms and again a little smoke came out. 3rd time I over filled the Carto and then hit my button and it worked fine.
A friend of mine, the one that got me vaping said he had some Cartos last him 3 weeks and some are bad soon as you put them on.
I think either I got a bad box or I didn't have enough juice in the first two.

Master, 1.7Ω is extremely low for a carto--you have to be very careful to keep them moist at all times and use lower voltages--I wouldn't use it on a ProVari, personally. ProVari does much better with higher ohms--and higher voltages. The V2 cartomizers are probably closer to 3Ω or so, as are most commercially available cartos that come with starter kits.

i have'nt had a problem refilling v2 cartriges.
sounds like you are not using enough juice.
refill them using the method in this link,18 to 20 drops ought to do it.
you can use the burnt tasting cartos as they are not old enough to have a ruined coil.
i have been refilling my cartos three months now with about a third have going bad.
