I have two ego-c twists. I love the twists, they are great. When I first started, I liked my Kanger t3 bottom feed clearomizers. Now I have had so many problems. A terrible burning taste, leaking, gurgling and etc. I rinse them and let them dry.. I am just not having a lot of luck.

I don't necessarily need a 'clearomizer'. I don't need a huge tank, but one would be fine. I would honestly be okay filling it with 1-2ML every time.

Can someone recommend me a SPECIFIC delivery device? I am reading to order something else and give it a shot. A link to a vendor that sells it would be recommended also.

I just want great flavor and no little issues like that.

THANKS!

I did not have a lot of luck with the clearos and switched to the Texas tuff tank from Vape dudes. They use a boge 35m,that comes in standard or low resistance,I use the standard,on my Ego 1100 and it works great. There were a few hit and miss when I got it,but watch their video on it and you will taste your juice. You may get a bad carto from time to time, that will taste burnt, but I have had maybe 2 cartos, out of 50. These tanks can handle any juice like citrus, cinnamon, licorice, the juices that would melt a clearo. They cost 7.99 and a 5 pk of boge cartos are 9,but you can find them cheaper elsewhere. They hold 3ml of juice.

I just switched to the smoktech RSST but that is a rebuildable. my suggestion is similar to the one above me but i like/use this one. XXL cartos are about $10 but i have received 3 bad ones out of my last 15 so i am tired of wasting money on them. But i still use a tank/carto when it is not practical to use a rebuildable.

there are alot of options. you can go with a rba but you will have to do your own wick and coil but people seem to really like them. i have couple on order so i dont have any personal experience. AGA-T2 RBA Tank Kit is one i ordered but have to wait on shipping. i really like carto tanks also. i had problems with my pro tanks and iclear16's not lasting me like you. i have gone to a texas tuff tank carto tank and really like it (wouldnt recommend it though). i get a week or so out of the cartomizer no problems depending on what i vape. sweet juice seems to clog it a bit faster. i havent burned one just get a tight draw and i have read you can boil them to re-use them. taste is a bit less than what the protank was when it was working good but ive come to like it. ikenvape has a fusion line that i want to try but seems to be out of stock all the time. boge and smok are both good and i cant tell a difference. LR single coils are what i get.

Vaping has a large range of variables, one reason people's experiences vary widely.

First thing we need to know Is what type of juice you are using and the percentage of pg to vg.

Unfortunately you will run into some type of issues with any device... you just have to arm yourself with the knowledge of what to do about it.

I also started with a T3 bottom feeding clearomizer. I never ran into the leaking and gurgling issues that some people I know have. The burned taste sounds like a burned out head (wick) that needs replacing. I do know that whenever I go into my local shop I hear a lot of people coming in with issues with their tanks and leaking. The gurgling? Maybe you're laying it down instead of standing it upright. Laying it down seems to allow too much juice into the air chamber. I moved to a Tesla, but I'm really happy with the new tank I got. It's a DCT carto and so far, no burned or dry hits. Every hit the same as the last. Very consistent. I also bought a V-Core 2.0 which is also called the squid tank, I think? 4 wicks in it, all nice and long that wick to the top chamber where the coils are. I haven't played with it much, but nice, solid hits without dry hits or burning. I like it so far. Good luck with your search.

ive only had one kanger t3 leak on me. well, actually its the EVOD but same difference. however what i do to fix it is remove it from my mod, turn it upside down and blow from the bottom, it seems to do the trick. however someone asked how often do u change the heads and that may be the problem for the burnt taste. Im surprised no one has mentioned the iClear 30 yet. It seems to be pretty reliable and one gets good flavor and vapor production from it. Once it starts to get bad, u can simply replace the heads, no need to rebuild if thats not your thing... however i will say i used mine for a month ( and i damn near chain vape) before i even had to do it. There are lots of good suggestions, me personally i dont clean my heads, i either rebuild or replace... depends how i feel and how much time i have lol. dont get frustrated, u will get it sooner enough.

you know you say that you have an ego twist. the burnt taste could be from the fact that you may have your twist turn to high. also your wicks may not be wet enough. There are few factors that weigh in on this. the best thing to do is when you get a burnt taste, take the tank off the battery and do a prime. put your palm under the tank and suck on it 3 to 4 times. then put it back on and try it. if that doesnt work then change out the liquid and clean your atty head or change it.
if you know you have a burnt taste and you leave the liquid in there and you let it sit then you have contaminated the liquid. just get rid of it and start new. Hope this might help.

Somewhere out there
I dislike the T3s for several reasons, they gurgle and taste plasticy.

I would suggest going to someplace like myvaporstore and getting one Kanger evod Kanger EVOD eGO Bottom Coil Clearomizer and one Vision Vivi Nova Vision Vivi Nova & Cartos to see which type you like better.

You can find the Kanger Evods maybe a buck cheaper at other places, but I don't remember seeing anyone else with both in stock recently.

I use both, in some ways I like the VN better, but I use evods very often. I keep a number of clearos going all the time, filled with different flavors so I switch off. I also use the no-name knock-offs, but I strongly suggest beginners get the name brand ones. I've learned to tweak the knock-offs so they usually work OK, but that's something you don't need to hassle with to start off.

I like the C4. They aren't overly expensive. Honestly.... I've heard a lot of people having trouble's with Kangors (Kanger?) I have one that was given to me, replaced the cart, cause it was leaking severely.... did the 'leak fixes' and that didn't work. The next cart, 'burned out' within a tank (truly more like a third of a tank) and luckily the place I bought it from replaced it free. This next one is seeming to be okay... but, I'm watching it closely.

it's also somewhat of a pain to constantly open the bottom to fill it again. Honestly most any other tank would probably serve you just as well (I say tank, cause the cartridges in my opinion are just annoying!)

Oddly, (though it's a whole 'nother setup.... the pen setup is supposed to be the most trouble free of the lot (Though your mileage may vary) from what I've heard you can use them for a long time before any maintenance. The replacements (when you can find them) are inexpensive etc. I'll try and find a link to one to show you the image if nothing else. But, I can't hyperlink... Um, it's a pen looking thing, with a windowed tank and a screw on cap. Mine says G2 on the battery. Do a search on Google, G2 pen style e-cig. When you click into images, for me it's the fifth picture or, second down, first column. (and it's blue... wish I could post a link, would be easiest. I'm not saying replace the twist, just offering the bit of knowledge I've gathered. I honestly think a switch of tank/cart would be your cheapest and easiest solution, and the C4 clearomizer (on google search) is a nice trouble free unit. (and not costly.)

Liberty Flights has both Viva Nova and EVOD in stock, as well. I have been looking at both of these, as well as the CE4/CE5.

The CE4/5 offers higher ohm heads, which is a big deal to me (I hate LR!), but I haven't found metal tank options. (I almost exclusively vape Tasty Vapor's Kretek, and clove & cinnamon are strong in there. I don't want cracked tanks, and I will break glass likely within days. lol)

Viva Nova goes up to 2.4 ohms, and I see up to 2.2 for EVOD. I much prefer closer to 3.0 ohms, but then I would have to do the plastic/acrylic tank (CE5).

UGH, why do we have to sacrifice this for that?! :(

I am inclined to first try the Viva Nova for the metal tank option, and just slightly higher resistance than the EVOD.

Anyone who hates LR like I do and has tried these... would you recommend the 2.2 EVOD and/or the 2.4 Viva Nova? Or will they adversely affect flavor like LR "traditional" attys do?

I have experience with only one clearo to date. I don't remember the resistance now, and am not finding the model I got... I like it when the mouth piece doesn't spit liquid into my mouth; it doesn't seal well where seated. (Vision 510 Clearomizer 0.8 ml is all my receipt says. It was a cheapie, just to try out a basic clearo and get a feel for it.) It has not cracked on me, and I have had my Kretek liquid in there since April.

(I have been a dripper for 3 yrs., but my bridgeless attys at a SR are getting very hard to find. Hence my quest for a good clearo, preferably with replaceable heads for financial reasons; I found one disposable clearo posted in another thread for about $2.50 each, but I can only find it with LR! I use the Vision clearo intermittantly, but it has had the Kretek in there all this time, no damage yet.)

I don't care that one tank will hold more liquid than the other... what I care about is pure flavor, no burnt taste from LR (I currently have the "basic" 650 eGo batteries, and cannot afford to replace/upgrade ATM; will try variable when finances allow), heads that are not dificult to change with my arthritic hands, and as few leak issues as possible. I am disabled on a fixed SS income, so price is indeed a factor.

Any suggestions based on my needs would be greatly appreciated... I want to get off of tobacco 100% (still have a few cigs a day), but simply cannot if my vape isn't yummy AND reliable.

(Sorry so long... I have been reading & reading, and still can't decide! lol)

Hello and thanks for posting this. I'm glad to help you out with my own personal experience. Hopefully it will work for you.

First things first. A burning taste COULD be the head itself, but for me having 2 T3s myself, the problem is normally having too many wicks in the coil. Whenever I have this problem (actually happened to me yesterday) I turn it upside down, unscrew it, and very carefully (with everything still intact) pull one small wick out.

I had to do this twice because I changed juices. Some juice is thicker and smokes differently than others. So remember, if it burns, remove wicks one by one until it stops. If it floods, do the opposite. Take off the cover and place a wick on top of the others. I get my wicks out of an old vivi nova head that went out. I ALWAYS get my T3s to work this way and I have had them for over 2 or 3 months now without replacing them.

Keep in mind however, I have a Kanger Pro Tank as well. I swap all 3 throughout the day in order to taste something different. So to answer your last request, the Pro tank is very hassle free. It's the best I've tried out of the EVOD, Mini Nova, 3.5 vivi nova, CE4, and the T3s. It's actually not even close. I bought my Pro Tank over 2 months ago and I'm still on the first head. Easy to clean, easy to refill and zero fuss.

It's < $20 with shipping at most vendors, and I got mine from a place called Carolina Vapes. Plenty of reputable companies have them though. Wordupecig.com offers free shipping on those and everything else, and they are based out of Florida.

Happy vaping :toast:
