I'm looking for some help here. I just got a pair of 1.5ohm Hybrid bottom feeder atty's in the mail today. I am using them on a Reo Mini with IMR14500 batts and Boba's bounty(100% VG). In the past I've used Joye LR510's and Cisco LR306's with zero problems. Now I've just tried both of these new atty's I just got and all I'm getting is a very bad burnt taste, even when practically flooded. I've blown them both out and re-fed them with no luck. I've keep getting them so wet that my catch cup is filled with extra juice. I know I have them wet enough but I'm still getting that dry hit burnt taste. The only way to avoid the bad taste is to only draw on them for MAYBE 2sec, any longer than that and they taste horrible. I am not a rookie vapor but i'm not sure whats going on here?? Any advice or tips/tricks? I'm thinking that these may just be too hot for my juice/battery combo. On a brighter note I also picked up one of their 1.5ohm dual-coil atty's and that one is working great. It actually seems a little on the cool side, but it will probably get better as it breaks in.

Any help will be appreciated. As it sits right now it feels like i just wasted $18 as these hybrid bottom feeder atty's taste horrible. I have never had this kind of problem before and I've used all kinds of different atty's on my Reo's.

Take your drip tip off and put the atty in your Reo. Instead of feeding juice to it, direct drip into the atty until you can tell that it's nice and saturated (you should even see a little pooling). Click the power button - do you see anywhere on the coil light up bright orange? If there is a ton of liquid in there, and a section of the coil is still turning bright orange, it may not be wrapped very tightly. If this is the case, use something like a pair of tweezers, or something small and gently press down on where you saw the bright orange spot. This should put that section of the coil back in place where it needs to be. I had this issue with the 2.0ohm atomizer that came with my VMOD. It took 2 seconds and fixed it, and it was working perfectly. Hope this helps - once I fixed that atty - I went ahead and ordered a pack of the 1.5ohm bottom feeders and they've been working great. I'm pleased with the performance.

Ok, I got one of them working I think. I pushed down on the coil with my syringe and I can actually take a full drag without getting that horrible taste. But the other one doesn't want to come around. I've managed to get it performing better, but it's still not 100%. I've gotten rid of the burnt taste, but now I'm not getting that much vapor. I'm just really frustrated right now and I'm getting myself sick from vaping so much trying to get these working....
