The longer leg to the positive post is the main issue probably. The distance from the coil to the pos and neg posts are the legs. Those should be the same length, even if the negative curves out funny. With a good coil you will see the center wrap heat first and move out evenly coil by coil to each end at same time.

Another better kind of coil that reduces the problem is a micro coil. Wrap your coil tight with the wraps touching!!!!!!! Read up in the micro coil thread in rebuildable section.

Are you saying that a metallic taste is normal with SS mesh wicks? No way to eliminate that at all?
Surprising but entirely possible.

I wouldn't say that getting a metallic taste with SS mesh is normal, but I will say that I have heard several fellow vapers say that "they feel" they get a metallic taste from it, and therefore do not use it in their genesis rba's, and prefer cotton and/or silica instead ... It may very well be "psychosomatic", who knows ... There are plenty others who say they DO NOT experience metallic tastes with SS mesh or rope.

Here's a link to a thread search in the micro coil thread, terms aga , mesh

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/search.php?searchid=21232486

You can also search the thread for different terms relating to your setup, thread tools tab at top of all threads.

Good luck I know there's tons of pics in there with genny's, also micro ribbons, you could search the thread for just those terms too.

your coil is too loose you want your entire coil touching the wick but not having it too tight in any spot also u should try to make that wick more solid, I just roll up a ss wick really tight but still hollow and roll my main piece of mesh around that, nice thick wick will pull more juice up and as long as ur coil is wrapped correctly no more dry hits
