So, you vape it for a while and it's burnt, then return hours later and it's not. Just guessing, that sounds like a juice flow issue.Like...not burning after it's been sitting because the wick has had time to re-saturate.

What kind of liquid are you using, what's the build look like, how are you wicking it, etc.

Also, don't overpack the rba deck itself with cotton. Juice won't flow properly. More isn't necessarily better. The wick on the base should be fairly minimal and only sit above the juice holes, not in them. The deck shouldn't be covered completely, either. The wick in the coils should be able to slide back and forth with a bit of resistance, but not so much that you really have to work the cotton.

I'm using mrgoodvape moon sugar and sundae funday mix.12mg at 20w 4v.it usually works fine...just a regular single coil and cotton is loosely packed and not cramped..oh yeah, .8ohms

Although it may usually work fine at that setting, each coil build is different, have you tried turning it down to say 12-15 w (assuming your device is VW/VV) and checked to see if there is any difference?

I can never get the cotton quite right to where it can slide some once it's in.I'm trying to learn and I'm just not getting it yet

I don't get the power I'm looking for tht low.I have the istick 50w vv/vw.the guys at my local shop hit it right after I get a burnt taste n they dont get one..then it's okay for like 3hits then burnt, same thing have them try it nd they never get the taste I do...

I'm not saying you should stay at 12-15 w but if you reduce the power and it tastes normal then it starts to narrow down what the problem is.

If it hits good for a few hits and then tastes burnt, your problem is most likely with wicking. I'd suggest watching some YouTube videos for proper wicking techniques for your tank and try them out, see what happens. Sounds like you're not getting enough juice to the coil fast enough.

Good luck!

Yep. That's the issue, then. If the wick won't slide back and forth in the coil without a ton of effort, it's too tightly packed and will cause slow wicking issues and dry hits. After you cut the wick to length, tear a small, small strand off of it lengthwise. Smaller is better, you can always tear more again if it's still too tight. Keep doing that until it's right, snip the length correctly (5-6 mm or so on each side of the coil), then wet the wick with juice and position the ends over but not in the juice channels.

I don't think you said what mix your juice is, but if you are using max VG at 20 watts with a Subtank RBA I'm not surprised that you get dry or burnt hits. If I'm using max VG with my Subtanks, I use an OCC. I don't vape at 20 watts so it seems to work well for me, even if I chain vape. With thinner juice I use the RBA and lower the wattage to between 12-15 watts.

Not telling you how to vape, just letting you know my personal experience.

Good luck. :)

I think 60/40 pg/vg I do believe.I'm not a cloud chasers so I don't usually use max vg...I have several bottles of different flavors in max vg but they aren't y I'm having the problem...seems like with rba now I can't even run the 20w I've been using for weeks..went thru several different coils in the last day trying to solve problems.either juice in mouth or burnt taste...I now have a .7build in and I have to use around 17w which isn't quite the power I like...20 was perfect for me but idk what else to do
