Hi

I think I may be the only one who vapes but has no intentions (yet) of quitting analogs too. Dunno, guess I'm just scared to let go. I also work at a tobacco store with analogs all around me. Unfortunately our boss refuses to carry any e-cigs to sell ;which to me is not smart at all considering how many people ask me about them!

I currently use the joye eGo. Awesome! Been trying all kinds of eliquid and still haven't been able to find a favorite. Good thing there's so many vendors! LOL

The only problem I have is sometimes the th is so strong it chokes me and then other times it's fine. Can't quite figure out what that's all about.

Happy vaping!

Vapira, Welcome! Even if you don't quit the sticks, I'll bet you cut down quite a bit. I didn't even realize it, just all of the sudden you get a craving to vape delicious juice instead of a harsh analog. It's amazing to me after smoking for 34 years that I have quit without 'trying to quit!' I think this is why so many vapers want to educate every smoker they know about e cigs. It's such a freedom, we want to share! Good luck, Vapira! You'll meet the nicest people here.

Its really too bad when management is too stubborn to try something new.

Maybe he knows that it WORKS! and it will lose him all of his tobacco clients and customers.

Welcome to ECF! From one newbie to another, you've made the RIGHT choice in VAPING and community. There are no substitutes for either!

Your boss won't even throw a few hundred bucks in to try out carrying some eGo kits? Have you shown him/her yours and told them people are asking about them? Its really too bad when management is too stubborn to try something new. Oh well, welcome to ECF!

AGreed with both of you. What's wrong with selling both and keep both type of customers happy. I have always thought that a 'smoke' shop would be an ideal place to put ecigs. Choice is what customers want. It's just plain silly that people are still acting snooty when ecigs are not even cigarettes. Oh well, some peoples children. my 2 cents

Re fears - some things I did

- the emergency cigs I had around (and still do) are not cigs I like much
- I actually carried a pack in the wrong pocket for the first 2 weeks of vaping, just as a security blanket and in case of hardware problems (I did get caught with no battery 3 times and after that I loaded up work and home with batteries, chargers, PTs for emergencies etc - no more battery emergencies). After 2 weeks I put the pack and lighter in a plastic bag in the car trunk where it still is.
- at home I have enough batteries to leave my PV (2 actually) set up overnight so it's right there when I get up

I wouldn't worry too much about quitting the cigarettes. If you think too much about it, it'll make things worse. I didn't start vaping to quit because, quite frankly, I didn't think it would work. I just wanted something I could use indoors when the weather is nasty. The day I got my Riva is the day I quit smoking. The surprising part was that I didn't even think about it. It just happened and so I joined the ranks of "accidental quitters." I haven't looked back since.

If you quit right away that's great! If you still need to smoke once in while, that's fine and you shouldn't beat yourself up over it. Lots of people here vape and still smoke once in a while.

It's scary to quit tobacco cigarettes. Just the thought of quitting smoking made me want a cigarette. I smoked longer than I didn't smoke. 2/3 of my time on this planet. *shudder* Being cigarette free for just three days changed a lot for me, however. The mere ability to smell and taste the nuances of scents and flavors I had never noticed before was enough to convince me that I was living half a life. Nevermind that my energy levels immediately picked up allowing me to actually get out and enjoy these new multi-dimensional experiences.

Give it time. I agree with another poster- the more you vape, the less you'll want to smoke.

I know, right!? What's up with that? I've gone to a few places that were cool with it, but most places, when I asked them if I could use my PV, and explained to them exactly what it was, they were still like 'no, you can't use that here' with their noses all up in the air... It's not smoke, people! Lighten up! Oh well, maybe some day people will grow up... don't you just hate ignorance, though!?
