Here is one I found, but I haven't tried it.

REVISIONS ADDED!!! (FINAL %'s & MANUFACTURERS THAT I USE)
So here you go people. Enjoy!!! Remember I wasn't trying to clone BB, only creating a new tobacco flavor for myself when I came up with this recipe.
5% Butter Rum (FW)
3% Bavarian Cream (TFA)
3% Turkish Tobacco (TFA)
3% Kalua & Cream (TFA)
1% Tobacco Absolute Rustica with PGA @ 50/50 dilution. (Wingedseed) 6 Drops per 30ml only.
NOTE: I prefer a 21 day steep time to get the best flavor from this tobacco.

Wow, that looks really good, Just Me!

What do people know about the Tobacco Absolute Rustica from Winged Seed? It looks like it's an essential oils business?

The tobacco absolute I have came from Azure Vaping, which is now closed, thanks to the FDA. I'd never heard of Winged Seed, so I don't know, sorry.

Hey... I found out more about it.. here is a post explaining it and offering a substitute for winged seed brand..

Quote:

It's usually added to a main tobacco as an enhancer, deepens the tobacco flavor, and/or adds some ashy notes.

My favorite is Inawera (WG) Virginia Tobacco Absolute 2%, and also the (WG) DNB 1-2%.

I add those to VZ Parliament 3% for a nice tobacco (only) flavor

There is more in this thread:

Tobacco Absolute ?

It's apparently a WTA..

Here's something else I found just looking around on ELR:

Rumrunner-RY4 by guntherslunt

1% Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (TPA)
3% Butter Rum (CAP)
10% RY4 Double (TPA)
2% Salted Caramel (FW)
1% Tobacco Absolute Blend (PG) (OSDIY)
1% Vanillin 10% (DIY)

In the notes, the poster says "Add two drops per 5ml TFA Smooth"

To me this looks maybe worth checking out (and also gives us a different Tobacco Absolute reference).

My husband loves scutch's RY4 Reloaded. You might have a look at that, too, and think about possibilities for replacing the butterscotch with butter rum, and possibly upping that and reducing the pistachio a bit. Better cooks than I might have some ideas about this!

I have seen others use this in recipes (Tobacco Only Discussion thread?) and have not run across any complaints in general for Winged Seed (but do your own research; I have not used them and I am not endorsing them).

I have only experimented with OSDIYS Tobacco Absolute (NOT the same as Rustica), and I gotta say it didn't do a thing for me. I don't know if it was the specific product, or if it is just my palate, but I couldn't tell the difference when I made the same recipe, both with, and without it. Based on that, if it were me, and I liked the look of a recipe, I would try it without and see if I liked it.

If it hits the spot; leave it alone. If it is good, but missing something, then I would consider getting the Rusica, or trying the subs suggested by @Opinionated. If it is a "fail," then adding an absolute, or other accent, is not likely going to bail it out. Move on to a different recipe.

Also, on @tc1's Scutch RWhy4 Reloaded; I will vouch for this one. It is good as is; if you want a sweet, caramel-y, butterscotch-y, sweet, tobacco-in-the-background, type of vape. But it also lends itself to ALL sorts of tweaks. I have used various "nuts" (toasted almond, pecan, hazelnut). I have backed down the caramel, butterscotch, and even the RY4, and added all sorts of different tobaccos (singly, and in combinations) to create more tobacco-forward vapes. And all of them were good. (Note: I did try to keep the total flavoring percentage right at, or very near, the 20% total flavoring of tc1's original recipe. So, if I wanted to add 5% of additional tobacco(s), I would reduce other existing flavor(s) a combined total of 5%.) It is a very forgiving recipe to play with. I could see Butter Rum (or liquors of any sort) fitting into this recipe quite nicely.

Some good info on Rustica and some other TA's in this thread. Tobacco Absolute - A Flavor All By Itself. PS, love, love, love my Rustica! :vapor:

As for rum flavors all I have at the moment is SC Rum Raisin, available at VZ and other places. Although it's a little sweet, It's still excellent imho, but of course does have the raisin note so not sure if your hubby would like it or not. If he would, you could add it to about any good tobacco mix with good results. Here's a good rum raisin cigar mix.

Rustica 3% (of 10% solution)
SC Cigar 2%
SC Rum Raisin 1%

Steep a couple of days, better after a week or two.

Also, I've read some good reviews on Inawera Rum flavor. It's on my list to try one of these days. :vapor:

Thank you so much! I'll certainly give that a try.

I don't know if he will like raisin, but I'm still shocked he likes that butter rum tobacco. In general, and so far with every mixed tobacco e juice he has tried he complains they are too sweet and doesn't like them.. but he loves that butter rum tobacco more than the straight tobacco e juice, and to me it's just as sweet as the ones he complains about.

So I'm thinking he's just an anomaly in and of himself.. hahaha.. but I don't mind trying variations just to give him another flavor he really enjoys at the very least!
