The button on my GLV2 5V has started to work loose. It still fires fine but slides around on the headcap. I noticed it also spins and when I spin it I can see on the inside the brass battery connector also spins. The brass battery connector is also quite a bit off center but still makes good connection.

How does the button attach to the headcap? Can I just spin it clockwise and get it tightened? I don't want to break anything in the and be without my new GLV.

The fact that it's firing is a good sign. I'm not sure how the button mounts, whether it's threaded from underneath or it's a snap fit assembly.

Best to call Jay and see what he suggests rather than fiddle with it too much. He'll be happy to help you.

Let us know what you find out.

Good luck.

I started looking inside the cap at work and noticed a metal nut arround the button. I got a small pick in there and spun it 1/4 turn and everything snugged up very tight again. The center brass pin that makes the battery connection is still offcenter but I'm sure that is how it is suppoded to be. The resistor takes up alot of room in there.

They say necessity is the mother of invention or in this case, tightening the button I suppose. Nice to know there's a way to tighten it should any of mine ever loosen up.

You are right about the brass connector; it's slightly off-center in all my head-caps to make room for the resistor.

Glad you worked it out.
