Ive been vaping for over 2 years now, started with a V2 cigalike type but couldnt get the performance I wanted. Had my Itaste SVD for some time and despite fire button issues has been a good experience, not great but good.

So, I got myself a craken to try rebuilables and I LOVE it. but the SVD just doesnt cut it in terms of power and absolutely no dual coil set up or sub ohm coil gets very hot at all.:)

I have ordered a Maraxus and a panzer as well as a castle rda and a Plume Veil to try out dripping so this is what I will have to work with for some time.

Now, I have some of those crappy Ultrafire 18650 that came with my SVD from the local vape shop and a charger that was eating batteries and killing them outright. So in a panic I ran out to Fry's electronics and bought a new tenergy brand charger and a few button top 18650s with the protect PCB. Long story short i now have 8 of the same tenergy 18650s.

So, my problrm is, are these 18650s goood for a mech and what is the lowest ohms you would recommend for a dual coil setup. My biggest problem is that I cant seem to get the whole story on how many amps this battery can actually handle. I have seem everything from 3.5C to 10C and that in and of itself is missleading since it is not a continuous discharge for the whole 2600mAh. Lso I found on other threads that the C after means the continuous and a burst wont have the same problems as if I were trying to fully discharge the battery. I guess the math also uses the mAh of the battery to factor in the max burst discharge rates. if the 3.5C is right then 9.1A max but at 10C it would be ovbe 20 amps and that doesnt seem right to me. I also cant find if these are ICR or not, I'm assuming they are since tenergy has other 18650 models and thos all are ICR. I have seen posts from and videos from users with this exact bettery sub ohming at .6 and .8 but I cant just say "Duhr, ya ill do that" unless i'm sure it will be safe.

Any insight on this would be very helpful and I appreciate any advice you can give.

THANKS!:D

:danger:no no no!!:danger:

You don't just run down to Fry's and buy batteries. Those are the WRONG chemistry battery.

You can ONLY use IMR batteries. Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or ICR?

You need at minimum an IMR battery which will have 20 amps continuous discharge rate. Better yet, a 30 amp continuous IMR. Study the list in the above link, paying attention to brand and model numbers. The right batteries are the MOST IMPORTANT decision you will make.

Explain It to the Noob: Ohm's Law Calculations

No offense, but you are not ready for sub-ohm vaping. You are in way over your head. Please research and do your homework before attempting any type of build on an RBA.

None taken, My only issue is the fact that the info about this battery is so all over the place I couldn't really get a straight answer anyway. I've been building the kraken single coil for quite a while now so the RBA/RDA thing doesn't scare me.:vapor: I mix my own juice and I also have a firm grasp of what I intend to do with the mechs, it was just the damn info was so sporadic, that's why i posted here right? So i'll just keep these for my SVD as at its MAX it cant even go barely past the 3 amp range and that's well within spec and get some better IMR batteries for the mechs. Thanks for the help on this, I appreciate the input.:p
