Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some assistance in purchasing a vaping system (or whatever the best term is these days) and have found a bunch of advice all over different places online, but it's a little overwhelming (sub-Ohm, MTL/DTL etc.), even for someone who's vaped before, so I thought I might post up here and get some advice.

So, I've been a pretty light smoker for about 10 years, including significant periods of months and even years without smoking. Currently I'm on less than one rollie per day, so I'm just looking to get over the line and cut it out entirely.

I've tried vaping before a couple of times. I bought a Innokin iTaste SVD 2.0 mod about 18 months ago and found it to be pretty good (if a little bulky/long) and got myself almost entirely off cigarettes as a result. I then lost that (long story) and grabbed an Innokin Endura T22 which I found ok, but a bit lacking in a few respects (not surprising given the price).

I'm looking for something relatively small, which will easily fit in a pocket without feeling bulky (so probably a small box mod I would guess?) and am mostly concerned with flavour rather than nicotine or vapour production (although I don't mind clouds if they're not super crazy - I just don't wanna fill my entire room with vape even when the window's open!).

If you could provide any advice or pointers, that would be great. I'm not too bothered about price, but would like to keep my entire startup costs below £100 if possible.

If there are any questions I can answer to help you better advise me, just ask away! Looking forward to getting back on the vape train. :)

Have a look at the Jacvapour Series B DNA Mod - if you're in the UK you can get the whole "bundle" for the same price as the device only. You'd need to add in a couple of batteries (and get an appropriate charger if you don't already have one) but it's a great piece of kit and could come in around your £100 mark. It also does temperature control as well as VW if you ever wanted to go that route, so really covers all styles of vaping.

I know you mentioned what mods you had, but what type of tank were you using? Do you just want a new mod or tank as well? All that confusing stuff as you put it, is more about a specific tank then the actual mod

Sorry about missing that detail! I am looking to purchase everything from scratch - I had an Aspire Nautilus Mini BVC Clearomizer tank on my Innokin and the OOTB default tank on the Endura.

If your a light smoker and liked the nautilus, I would stay with it. They are still one of the best mouth to lung tanks. You can just purchase a new mod and use the nautilus on it. A good new small box mod is the eleaf mods, maybe the eleaf istick 40 watt . Unless you wanted to try sub ohm? For the most part, sub ohm is used for a different inhale type , which they call direct lung inhales, where you suck the vapor straight into your lungs. This started just because you can produce much more clouds and it's cool [emoji16] but one thing people found out was that because they were sucking in 3 x's the vapor, the normal nic amounts that they were using with tanks like the nautilus and others was too harsh. So now people doing direct lung inhales use 3 x's less nic, but they are going through 3 x's the juice. So it would be completely different to what you have been use to with the nautilus for sure.

i have a few mods,my favourite everyday is the innokin coolfire mini with the nautilus 2 tank..(5th mod from the left)easy to fill, unlike my nautilus mini which is almost impossible to undo..with the nautilus 2 i stick a small screwdriver in the largest air hole and simply undo the housing and top fill....(note the 4th mod from the left is the aspire plato which i modified by adding a 510 connector to take different tanks )

The Nautilus 2, Nautilus mini, Triton mini & NautilusX are all good tanks in my opinions. There are mixed reviews on the NautilusX but I've been vaping it for a couple of days an love it.
Also welcome to the site, I'd say if you had the Nautilus mini. Get the Triton mini which uses the Nautilus coils but is a lot easier to fill. The Nautilus 2 is good but you have to unscrew the whole top of the tank, so they say it's top fill but I actually find it to be a hassle an very easy to overfill!

I vape with the Nautilus 2 using the older coils, 1.8. My only issue is its size, but that probably helps me not chain vape. I don't think overfilling is an issue though it will cause leaks if you do it wrong. I try to pay attention to that fill line, additionally I make sure I'm not filling it when I'm just about to shove it (inside a ziplock bag) into my purse. I also close the airholes if it's travelling somewhere with me unless I'm vaping.

It's not THE EASIEST tank to fill, but it's not difficult by any means, and I am perhaps one of the most tragic luddites every when it comes to anything mechanical/tech.... So, if I can use it with ease, I guarantee anyone *can* but if you overfill, it can certainly leak/gurgle slightly until some of the juice is vaped.
