Buying this so my girlfriend can finally quit smoking

I am a non-smoker but my girl friend smokes. I'm thinking about buying an e-cig for her to help her quit smoking finally. I was thinking about getting the 0 nicotine version and getting her some nicorrette gum to battle nicotine cravings. What do y'all think?

I was looking around the forums for a bit, and heard that the 510s are pretty good. Where is a link to buy this for the best price??

As admirable as your gesture is, e-cigs are not a 'magic bullet' to quitting tobacco use. In fact, they are not marketed as such in the U.S. except for extremist suppliers. I would suggest that you and she explore the universe of personal vaporizers together and encourage her. If she make the decision to try the devices, she becomes more empowered and takes ownership of her decision. That would be a powerful breakthrough.

Oh, and the 510's, I hear, are really nice.

ruyandirect has a steal on them and liquid right now........get a few different juice and strengths. I wouldn't go o nicotine, with nicorette, nicorette sucks and if she is to stand any chance of liking the 510, the 510 needs to be the cigarette replacement not the gum. You can always add vg or pg to dilute the nicotine down later if she wants to. If you try too low or no nic.....it will not make it easier for her.

Getting her 0 nicotine is a bad idea if you want her to quit analogs. Why make her go through the hassle of getting nicotine in gum, when she can get it in the liquid. She can cut down the nic strength over time.
