I was vaping away when I got a really nasty burnt hit. I released the button but the light stayed on and instead of the light being somewhat red and blue, it was solid blue as if the voltage was maxed. I had to take the batteries out to stop the atomizer from cooking. Put the batteries back in, hit the button, same thing solid blue light atomizer get scorching hot and does not shut off when I release the button. Seems like something is making it turn on to max voltage (or over) and then it fails to shut off. Any ideas?

Parts on anything can be bad. Sorry to hear it happened to you but the good thing is Notcig has the best customer support in the business. Get ahold of Buzzkill or the customer service and they will fix you right up. Sounds like it's a faulty switch or in the electronics.
And remember to include your order # and name. Here check this out: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/notcigs/108972-contacting-sales-notcigs-com.html

5card, looks like they could use you here on the "A Team" lol
