Exactly as intended.
Yes, part of me is still twelve. :)

I have a feeling what went through my mind.... might not have been exactly as intended! Probably more fit for hustler.

I am however going to drag out the camera when my wood buzz's get here on Saturday and make a really nice banner for the wood ones. I don't know if the "Got Wood" slogan will be useful to Mike however, it was REALLY FUNNY, but about as professional as my endorsed by god banner with jesus vaping a buzz! Personally, I'd use it in a banner as a signature, but I don't know that is the image Mike wants to portray for notcigs.

NO! Not THAT part!

LOL!!!

Hi BuzzKill,

Most people here in Finland (and I guess people in other european countries too) would prefer to buy their e-cig products from EU-region, because when they order from U.S (or outside EU-region) there will be all kind of taxes and customs duties to pay. In a sense life just gets more expensive and more complicated. I personally don't care really much about that, but I know that many people do.

So, now I'm asking that is it possible for you to make a retail deal (or whatever it's called) with some european e-cig supplier?

These european suppliers might be interested:

ECigWizard
Liberty Flights

Just a thought... :)

MArv I am talking to some EU guys now ! working on it bud !

Mornin' kids.
I got a shipment of veneer from Rosebud Veneers in Kentucky yesterday. The guy was super nice and put my order together and shipped it even though I called an hour before he was planning on quitting and heading out for a hunting trip in Brazil. Very cool of him, I thought. I got the box just a couple days later.
I got more Quilted Bubinga and a bunch more Bird's Eye Maple but here's some you may not be familiar with.

Note: The dark area you see on the Claro Walnut Burl is where I wiped mineral spirits on it to show a little better what the finished color will look like. That stuff evaporates away.

Edit: The pieces I photographed are cut to the size that will be used on the mod so that you can tell how much of the figure will be visible.

Hey marviner, are you familiar with the craft of Kolrosing? That's a little skill I picked up at a week long wood carving workshop I attended a few years back. It consists of "plowing thin grooves in wood and then rubbing in a contrasting powdered coloring agent (we used finely ground coffee) and sealing it with an oil finish to create a lined drawing in the surface of the wood.
Here's an example that I found online.

You have some beautiful wood veneers there!! Just a question, do you hand cut and piece together the design area on these, or does that come premade?

Those are store bought banding strips. I have made my own banding before but it's pretty time consuming so I just buy it now.

Oh, to add to this explanation, I do piece together different thin banding strips and sometimes I fit in a couple strips of veneer in order to make the banding the right width.

Any kind of Burl is gorgeous. It's very, very highly valued in Finland. People here mostly use Birch Burl to make furniture and such (even custom guitars), but other kinds of Burl are used also. Here's some examples:

Pyhäjärven Puunikkari

Thanks for the link Marviner:)

So that's how they do it! That's actually pretty neat! I've seen different kind of decorative patterns in various handcrafted pieces, but I didn't know how they were made. I guess it takes a pretty steady hand to make those grooves - just a slightest slip of a wrist and you have to start all over again.

Edit: Oh, I have an idea. I think nobody makes e-cig stands. You know, for example there are all kind of cell phone stands (like this):

How about decorated e-cig stand for Buzz Pro and Infinity? It could come with let's say, maybe a little drawer (or something like that) for e-juices, own spot for cartos / tanks / batteries? Different kind of stands (different shapes, woods, decorations, etc)

Just throwin' some ideas around :)

It also takes a specialized knife. A kolrosing knife tip is a steel rod with two beveled edges ground in the end forming a point similar to the tip of a fountain pen. It's used by pressing it straight down into the wood and nudging it around with your other thumb nail to follow the lines. It's kinda tricky until you get the hang of it and even trickier to be able to control it to the point shown in my example.
I've been kicking around the idea of a desk top ecig holder and juice organizer but I haven't gotten so far as to design one yet. I should do that soon.

Absolutely. I would like to have custom e-cig holder. So far I've been looking for chessboard (with drawers) to hold my e-juices and e-cigs, but if I want to have one of those REALLY nice one's I have to order them from Florence (Italy) or UK - and they are TOO expensive.

Besides, they are really just chessboards, not e-cig holders. Custom made e-cig holder would be way much cooler than that :2cool:
