Oh, It was SOOO much fun!

Been there, done that Mist...I don't envy that job. I suck at tape and bedding so I textured my walls to hide my crappily feathered seams LOL

I hired a guy who's been doing it for 20+ years. I hung it and he's out there mudding it as I type.

I've always hated dry walling and I too have done my share. We built our log cabin our selves. Nit a huge amount of dry wall in a log cabin, but the inside walls and entire basement all dry wall. When we did our addition I went with all tongue and groove, no drywall!

I just shot the first coat of lacquer on those tubes.

I only have a chrome IPro and it really needs an IPro friend that's covered in pretty wood!!!
Ok, wanted to let anyone who's interested know that I'm having issues with the lacquer spray bomb I'm trying to finish these tubes with. It's impossible to get a smooth coat with this thing. Must have a defective nozzle. I sanded all the tubes smooth again and I'm off to the auto paint supply store to get another.

Well shoot! Sorry to hear about the problems with the laquering, Mist, but standing by for pictures when you get 'em. Oh, I want a Mistinthewoods IPro so bad but I'll be a good little lady and have patience.

OK, I fixed them. I had to sand the lacquer smooth again with real fine sand paper (320 grit) and re spray a few more coats on them with a new bomb but they look good now. I have therapy this morning but all the tubes except the one I-Pro that needs re done are in the house ready to be photographed. I'll be posting pics today.

Last and possibly least is the Claro Walnut Burl. This one has a defect. The veneer had split (these burls are difficult) and I didn't notice it until I was spraying the finish. I'll let Mike make the call on this one. I'll either send it to him as is at a discount or re do it and send it with the I-Pro tube I need to re do.

You can't feel the crack. It's filled smooth with clear epoxy and lacquer so it's stable.
Mike, you want me to send it or re do it? Either way is cool with me.
