I wanted to record my experience with an order of backwoodsbrew
for my own benefit, I figured I might as well put it out there for everyone.
The main purpose is to see what I think of it right out of the mail box, and then come back to it 10 days later and see how the flavors have changed. I have had one of these flavors before, Casablance, the other two are brand new to me. The born on date for all 3 is 3.1.11.

The first day will all be done on a Volcano Inferno with a Cisco 2.0ohm 901, vapor production was good and similar on all three so I will avoid repeating that for each individual flavor.

Day 1: Right out of the mail box
Caramel Cappuccino
Right out of the box this one taste like coffee, actually its a very good coffee flavor in that it is not burnt tasting like to many coffees I have tried. Definitely not as creamy at this stage as a vaperite kona cream. The caramel isn't really coming through the strong, but good, coffee flavor. I wouldn't call it my favorite coffee vape but it is not bad.

Melonbacco
Strong on the melon, and it is a more jolly rancher melon than anything. This is actually my favorite of the 3 right out of the mail box not because of its rich blend of flavors or anything of that nature just because its a nice take on the candy melon without being sickeningly sweet, I hope that the tobacco comes out down the road however as I wanted a tobacco with a hint of melon like his other tobacco blends do after some steeping. TH on this one is pretty damn good, not insane but definitely noticable. I hope the Flavor becomes more complex while the TH remains, and again I definitely hope to taste more tobacco when I come back to this.

Casablanca

This one is a tad sweet, a Turkish tobacco. A bit overly sweet out of the mailbox. As I have had this one before I know what to expect in the future and I can't wait for this one to calm down a bit and mellow out. I hardly get any of the coco background flavor that I remember from my last, well steeped, bottle. I am tempted to put this on a paint shaker just to see if I can speed up the process. Vapable out of the mailbox but not my favorite tobacco flavor on day one.

again as of now this is just day one, I know from experience that Casablanca will improve. Time will only tell on the other two they could get better or worse depending on what flavors get weaker and which get stronger.

See everyone in 10 days,
GK

Great idea. Thanks Golden. I'm still at the phase were I don't have a back stock and start vaping as soon as I get it in my hands.
Steep or vape? VAPE!

Indeed, some juices that I know get better with steeping are so good out of the mailbox that I normally don't give them as much time as I could, Gorilla juice from Alien Visions is a good example. The trick is to find one juice that is good right out of the mailbox and then use it while the others get to where you want them
555 from AV is good to vape on right away while my Boba breathes a bit.
Peach from BWB, if you like peach, is a good vape right out of the mailbox.
or I just order from a vendor that doesn't need steeping and one that does and vape the former while I wait for the later. Vaperite is good pretty much when you get it, in fact I notice little difference over time compared to other juices or any dekang that you like has probably steeped enough coming from china that any more is just overkill.

I find most of these juices that will change do so in 10-15 days, after that point its more of continuation of mellowing out than a drastic change.

I don't get sweet/candy melon... but then again, I have probably tried watermelon from 15 different vendors...
I guess it's me, because several folks have described it the way you do.

My favorite to vape right out of the mailbox was his RY4... again, I was in the minority on this one too. Out of the mailbox, it's drier than it is sweet.

Good thread!

Maybe melon juice would be a better word for it as it is not as sweet as some I have had yet it lacks some of the characteristics of an actual watermelon. I have definitely had sweeter melon flavors, the local vape shop orders her watermelon at 2x flavor and it is very sweet indeed. As I said of the three out of the mailbox this one is my favorite, and its not sickening in its sweetness, its just I hope some tobacco comes out later otherwise you might as well just call it melon.

Heat made my HFN better - but it has killed many other flavors... never did heat on purpose in any case.

I will ask Don about his melonbacco recipe... it does seem like my newer bottle had more melon than the first.

Its very melon right now, put a drop of the melonbacco and a drop of the Casablanca together, that was a nice blend of tobacco and melon.

10 days later,
I will admit to breaking some of these out between now and then but now I have all three in front of two of them loaded into Boge Cartomizers....so lets get this rolling
Performed at 3.7 with a cisco 901, boge 2.0ohm cartomizer (except the cappuccino), and 510 ...also some leo atty usage as well

Caramel Cappuccino
I am going to go out and say it at the start. This is my least favorite of the three...it isn't "bad" it just isn't great...it reminds me too much of a tame version of a certain flavourart Cappuccino I have had in the past. What I get from this is coffee...just coffee hardly any, if any at all, caramel...I am vaping this as I write this and honestly I just want to get on to the other two juices so I can stop. From 10 days ago the coffee flavor has mellowed out a bit, not so much in consistency...its just not so damn strong now. If you want a decent coffee flavored vape, this might do it for you just don't expect any high amount of complexity here...at least I am not getting it, and god knows I wish I was.
Your mileage may vary.

Melonbacco

Still very melon, however it has calmed down a good bit. I actually like this juice...I am picking up some sweet tobacco base now..it isn't even half of the experience but it is noticeable now. I think I said somewhere above that the melon is a melon juice kind of melon and I still hold with that but its a much more enjoyable vape after steeping. On a side note this thing will cling to your atty...be prepared to taste melon in your vape until you clean out this flavor.

Casablanca

Ok, I know I like this juice....I think pairing this up with Melonbaca in the same order was just a bad idea...I can only take so much of "sweet" Tobacco, and sometimes I think I should just mix the two. This is a strong flavor for BWB, a strong sweet tobacco flavor with a tiny hint of something else, BWB wants to call is coco so sure...its a hint of coco...I don't think anyone would ever call this oatsy or peppery or any of those other terms often thrown at earthy dry tobaccos because this isn't that. 10 days into it ...15 days after it was bottled, this juice is a pleasant vape and I seem to be going through it faster than the other two. It is definitely one of the more pleasant to vape sweeter tobacco blends, if you like dekang tobacco but want something that performs better and is a bit cleaner you may find this juice very much to your liking.

Overall I give this order as a whole a thumbs up, two out of three isn't bad...and honestly all three of these mix extremely well, if I want a bit more tobacco in the melonbacca I just mix it with the Casablanca for a vape that may in fact be better than the two separated. The Casablanca is also great with the Caramel Cappuccino..making a very nice coffee tobacco blend. In fact even though I don't exactly love the Cappuccino as a whole the mixing of it and the Casablanca together is very good and is a flavor I could actually miss....thankfully a little Cappuccino goes a long way in that regards to it should last me awhile.

Day 20:
Just a quick update, oh the difference 5 days can make.

I took out the Caramel Cap put about 4 drops on the leo and all of a sudden its a much more complex vape. Still coffee but now with just a ton of flavorful undertones, definitely not straight up coffee anymore. The atomizer may have something to do with this but I just can't believe this is the same flavor I called straight up coffee 5 days ago.

The sweetness of the Casablanca continues to decline as well...I will probably just not vape Casablanca until at least day 15 from here on out.

Yes,
Honestly the changing nature of BWB is a headache when it comes to describing the flavor...I mean if we are both talking about one flavor but we are talking about that flavor two weeks apart...it really makes too much of a difference. I suppose that is just the price you pay for getting freshly bottled juice with every order.

Not only that but some people don't have a full months reserve to vape on while they let the BWB juice steep so they may never get to day 20 of Caramel Cap...and they would be missing out on some very tasty flavor if they just ordered 10ml and vaped it all in a week.

That is part of the reason I went with two never before tried flavors when I did this day by day review...so I wouldn't have any preconceived ideas about the final flavor. I can certainly tell why some people would get this in the mailbox and wonder why what they are vaping is not what is often described.
