I've been trying to find a good menthol and Backwoods Brew is the best so far. The PureSmoker Silver Leaf Menthol was good but left a chalky feel in my mouth. I think it's a problem with me and does not appear to be the norm. Anyway, the BWB is very good (I got all three strengths) but I'm wondering why all the menthols I've tried so far have a sweet taste? It's very minimal with the BWB but I'm just not a real sweets lover.

I have never vaped before, but for my first attempt I've ordered a few different menthol flavors (menthol analog smoker) such as

Smooth Menthol - Liberty Flights
Nuport - Gourmet Vapor
Seriously Minty - Gourmet Vapor
Mint Chocolate Chip - Gourmet Vapor

I know you said you don't like sweet stuff as much so the last one may not be for you, but if you haven't tried one or all of these I'll make sure and give you my run down on them and maybe they'll work for you?

Also, if you haven't seen it in another thread yet, Gourmet Vapor has a coupon code for 50% off (utahrocks) if you're interested in experimenting with a surplus of 5mL menthols they offer, you can get them at a bargain.

cappadoc, you have been very helpful and I do appreciate it. I actually received all three strengths of the BWB Menthol today. Tastes close to the slm minus the chalky. Again, I think that is a problem with my taste buds and not the Tonic. I like the BWB menthol and will probably stick with it. I'll try the SLM in a couple weeks to see if it affects me the same way again.

Levitas, I would appreciate an update on the sweetness of the ones you are getting. I started with prefilled carts from Premium and SmokeTip. Not bad but too expensive and sweet. I tried the V4L Cool Nobacco and it tasted like metal to me. So far SLM and BWB Menthol are the best by far.

Can do! Also, if these flavours aren't cutting it for me, I'll try the BWB flavours. I've been hearing nothing but good about them.

I love Nuport from nhaler- vape it all day long. I like it so much that I've only tried a few other menthols and just stick to that.

BWB menthol isn't bad. Actually I like his Virginia or 555 with some Vapor Bomb Artic Ice.

I like a tobacco taste with menthol, not just menthol I guess.

edit: Drew from nhaler was a Newport smoker. To me, it's close. Well as close as you'll ever get to an analog. Which probably isn't really close.

BWB Menthol is best by far of numerous menthol/tobacco juices I've tried. The 70/30 viscosity works well with carts, cartomizers and Ego T. Order in Strong if using in T tank since flavor is muted.

Best of all, real menthol taste without minty dominance.

I've ordered +120ml total of the stuff in 24mg/strong. It's my all day vape.

Good straight from bottle, improves over several weeks steeping.

Proving we all have differing tastes, someone earlier raved about the Cool Rush from LiquidXPress - it is strong, but to me, it tastes like Vicks VapoRub...I assume that it's from having eucaplyptus in it, and I've seen several 'recipes' in different places that seem to use that in these menthol flavors.

Have not yet tried blending it with other juices to see how that turns out.
