I'd like comparisons with any of the gem. Heron v2. Spheroid. Phenomenon lite. Cloud one. Taifun gt2. kayfun lite. kayfun 4. Tilemahos with springomiser (not good at all imo).

Specifically if there are any here who evaluate vape density differently than volume you'll know Exactly what I'd like to know.

I can compare to the Heron v2.
The By-KA is a denser, more "moist" vape for me. Mind you I tend to make my builds almost over-wick in it (which I can't do in the Heron without flooding). It's more versatile and forgiving than the Heron in that way.

FYI I wick slightly different to @qorax . I tend to have the coil tilted away from the juice holes slightly, a little more wick laid at an angle in the well/chamber and onto the deck, and push a small cavity into the wick via the juice holes. It works for me. lol

Buy the 3D printer tubing that smoker store uses on the taifun gt2 and such. You can get it in various outer and inner donators and it's like $5 a foot. Ll

Edit - it's ptfe tubing but I believe that's the low heat one. And here's a higher heat one. You can go from 3/2. 4/1.75 etc.

You use 1/8-1/4 inch typically. So the foot you buy for $5 should last a lifetime.

PTFE Tubing | eBay

The lower temp stuff is flourotherm and should still be safe for he temps we get when wicked properly

Given it sits below a coil not on it and air is traveling through and you'd be wet with eliquid id say it's fine. If you can only find the diameter changes you want.

So for those stuck deciding between two maybe you can get the bigger and use ptfe to reduce it.
easier to roll a mesh straw but a bit of a kludge either way. A replaceable system seems more elegant....and obviously more expensive lol!

Got it in my greedy little hands. Nano with 1.7mm air. Seems pretty tight but I just know I'm going to like this thing. Gave it a quick wash but I see what Q is saying with the smell/taste. Might have to sonic-hedgehog it!

stay tuned...

After a degreasing washing up liquid soak - you may want to try to put it in milk for a short while. GP taught me that trick and it works wonders - allows me to use washing up liquid that the missis got which may be scented and therefore unusable.

Anyway. Degrease dish soap. Rinse. Sonic clean. Milk- I haven't times but maybe half an hour. Rinse. Very fast way to accomplish what took a few days before. And neutralizes anything.

Wondering how By-Ka stacks up against Kayfun Mini V3.

I also want this comparison. Same price point. Same overall function. Very similar deck.

A weird thing but if, after a while, I screw down the JF/chimney, a load of air gets displaced from around the base of the deck. Sort of Merkava-like for anyone who has experienced that. Anyone else seeing this? Could be my deck isnt seated properly on reflection which might explain why its not really wicking so well....Its a flavour machine though and the AF at 1.7mm is really nice. Beautifully machined also. Very impressed apart from my bubble issue which is certainly user error...

Yep, after reading your post I too tried that ~ and yes, some bubbles do escape additionally. However, no wicking issues here at all.

Btw, I believe it is the nature of this JC. The same happens with the Tilemahos as well. B'coz, unlike the KM3/K5, here we screw/unscrew the chimney way more than the k'funs. And that, I think, displaces more air. I also think the same would be applicable for the Calix as well. Will check that out later.

Hey guys I finally received the KA! Took a while that's for sure. Will be setting up tonight and looking forward to it. Very impressed with the threading so far, extremely smooth. Mine seemed very clean, no smell detectable. I like the looks, kind of reminds me of the v2 tilemos, but maybe slightly heavier. I got the nano, 1.7 mm , single deck and it's a little heavier then I thought. It's the base that has the weight but I'm liking so far and should go great with my mod coming. Been wanting a stratum lux for a long time and finally snagged one, should be here tuesday!

I asked for a price list. The guy who makes them is on vacation until 8/15 (15/8 real world date) I sent an email and a Facebook request and can only assume he is a solo operation or must inspect all outgoing at least.

I'm not sure I'll get one - I certainly will if I can shift a couple things. Maybe I can find a trade for my gt2 setup if someone isn't happy with their selections. But in the mean time I look forward to detailed comparisons to better known atomizers and more information about by-KA which would appear now to be a single person ?

Has anyone had occasion to need support and if so can you specify what was wrong and how it was handled. Even if you had a pre or post sale question and inquired - how long did it take to get s response and how good was retest response ? A large percentage of tanks either are going to work or not. Or have o ring issues which are pretty easy to solve. I've learned however that the more complicated the devices the more important it is to see if a boutique stands behind their goods. Either way if someone can't respond to email promptly for customer issues - I don't want to do business with them.

On a side somewhat related note does anyone know idea list of vendors who give back to vaping advocacy in either money. Time. Or product. ?

The 1.7 I would imagine is very similar to the phenomenon lite ... Any thoughts so far on comparisons, you're one of the best to ask!

Mine was about 100 dollars. One nano tank, one chimney, one deck, drip tip and adapter thingy that the drip tip goes into

Congrats Divrr! And yes, it is pretty much a Tilemahos V2 (non-Springo). However, the gratification is in its customizability.

Great video as always Q. What's up with the 24g and .7 coil? Next I will be seeing you with a sub tank vaping at 100 watts.

Thanx buddy! And yes, my usual still is 28 AWG, 1.2+/- Ohms, firing at around 16W. 24 AWG is purely for sport, in fact it tends to be a spoilsport ~ since it takes heavy ramp-up/die-down time and guzzles juice unnecessarily.
