Actually at first I didn't smell anything like you guys were talking about , so I checked just before my first build and it does have a funky smell. Just washed again with some hot water and soap, hope it does the trick

ByKA folks assured me that hereon all their products are passing thru additional cleaning effort/s. Which includes an alcohol bath.

Yes that right and then I added a drip tip which rounded me out at 100 bucks.

Thanx buddy! And yes, my usual still is 28 AWG, 1.2+/- Ohms, firing at around 16W. 24 AWG is purely for sport, in fact it tends to be a spoilsport ~ since it takes heavy ramp-up/die-down time and guzzles juice unnecessarily.
I have some 24 and used it a couple times but to big for me... I like 28g and use it a bit, but 26g is my fav

easier to roll a mesh straw but a bit of a kludge either way. A replaceable system seems more elegant....and obviously more expensive lol!

FYI the mesh straw doesn't vape the same as ptfe at all. It doesn't properly reduce unless you start rolling it as a solid straw and use the rolls to allow some air in. The ptfe cut with a razor - like the Taifun gt2 is not an inelegant solution. Though arguably an insert able stainless straw like the screw sleeves on many atomizers would be preferable.

THank's to all for the pricing info. I'll look forward to more reviews.
I can compare to the Heron v2.
The By-KA is a denser, more "moist" vape for me. Mind you I tend to make my builds almost over-wick in it (which I can't do in the Heron without flooding). It's more versatile and forgiving than the Heron in that way.

FYI I wick slightly different to @qorax . I tend to have the coil tilted away from the juice holes slightly, a little more wick laid at an angle in the well/chamber and onto the deck, and push a small cavity into the wick via the juice holes. It works for me. lol

Id like to go to pm with you or the GP thread to discuss aspects of the heron and wicking. I do agree it's a complete pain. I almost always have to rewick multiple times to get it right and for that resin fluff is better. But snnying to use and less flavorful than a chimney cap. It's extremely frustrating that aspect of the heron v2 design was not more like the soheroid I would have given up the rotating cap for better wicking method and no gaps. Howl fully they remedy this with the v3. Though I can't afford to buy another hnp and won't get s tank only until it's available with non metal that isn't black or yellow. Untenable is just ugly. From pillar to post. Though obviously functional.

Is there room in the by-KA for s 26 gauge build (28/36 Clapton wire build) of 6-8 wraps and how does the Tank do with builds generating s fair bit of heat. Does it transfer that heat ?

The build in the heron I just posted in the GP thread and the wicking accompanying it may be of real interest to you if you like to wick thick (as do I) and like s dense "moist" vape. Good description makes me more curious.

What's he throat hit like compared to others? I find lately s lot of new tanks have incredibly harsh hits. With the same juice as others which are much smoother.

Try the new 28/36 Clapton wire. I'm telling you Q. It's got more active surface area and there's almost no ramp up time. It's not far off using 28 with the density and flavor beyond your expectations. $

How big is this build deck compared to others ? Similar to kayfun v4, cloud one ? Or bigger ? Smaller ?

I'm a little disappointed by the tilemahos comparison. Having borrowed one for s month plus I felt that tank was very lackluster in flavor. And super annoying to fill , springomizer made the flavor worse. Much worse.

Is it like it I output or build or design ? Flavor as good as Calix v2 or heron or gem? I knew the heron v2 was for s long time your favorite tank. Did this displace it in rotation ?

*Apologies for the multiple long posts. I'm catching up and responding to new stuff. I don't get around many threads / not online all that much here so I tend to come on like an avalanche. I realize it's not great but it's the only option right now. Hotel wifi like dialup isn't making things better!!

Hi,

How big is this build deck compared to others? Similar to kayfun v4, cloud one? Or bigger? Smaller?
ByKA V2's deck is very spacious. Much like the Calix's. And very easy to setup a coil. If the space management needs to be compared to K4's ~ then it is double than that.

I'm a little disappointed by the tilemahos comparison...
That comparison is purely on the deck's design and the way you position your coil between the posts. And off course both are top-fill by removing their topcaps. Nothing else of the Tilemahos V2 is alike. Airflow system and its tunability on the ByKA is daBomb! But btw, I like the Tilemahos V2 (non-Springo) too ~ it is a very fine & flavorful vape. However, this one is better.

Is it like it I output or build or design? Flavor as good as Calix v2 or heron or gem? I knew the heron v2 was for s long time your favorite tank. Did this displace it in rotation ?
In my video I showed some RTAs which are a good comparison to the ByKA w.r.t. flavor and vape satisfaction. They are all very similar. But with the ByKA vapor production is way higher than them, in any comparable airflow mode, yet keeping the flavor profile intact. ByKa's key feature is it's airflow management system - thus it's customizability.

Cheers!

Thanks @qorax. I had to give up on your video so I can't say what you compared it to. Sorry to have you repeat info you posted there. Unfortunately there are still s fair but if circumstance where long YouTube videos just aren't a real possibility due to bandwidth issues. It's been driving me nuts. I took my super fast internet for granted!

Appreciate your time in response as always. Sounds like s very good atomizer. Since I started using the Clapton wire I mentioned vapor production and ensure srent too much if an issue. The Calix v2 is a little anemic in those areas. And I hate the screw type management.

Seems very nice. I need to thin the herd to stuff I'm truly very happy with now. I've accrued far too much and I squonk a lot now. Though tbh drippers and bfa miss flavor profiles w but because of the lack of s changer separated from the output. The chalice is closed tons tank toe performance bt it's expensive and has the typical mb quality control issues. Sink don't know that I'll keep squonking as my go to for the three adv

Right now I'd have to say the cloud one and heron are my two favorites. It's interesting to read your thoughts that the air flow would be that much better. I need to examine he design exude I don't see why if one chose the 1.7 or 2.4 there would be any difference. Is it design of the flow or the fact it can be ordered with s large inlet ? Anything over 2mm central inlet below the coil is too much for my levered style and builds. It's starts to detrimentally affect density and larger coils to regain that reduces flavor. So for he heron for example. I reduce it.

How's the thick Juice wicking ? . Do any tests with drip juice ?

Congrats Divrr! And yes, it is pretty much a Tilemahos V2 (non-Springo). However, the gratification is in its customizability.
Half way on my first fill and have to say I'm really impressed so far.. haven't quite dialed everything in yet, but it's a very nice tank.

If possible, can you compare the draw of the 1.7mm deck? Is it as tight as a Kayfun? How's the airflow?

I'm hoping it equates with the Erlkonigin, but not many out there have it so a direct comparison is out of the question, I'm sure.
Between the erlk and erlp, I own 5 and use all without the air disc. Comparing the KA with the 1.7 deck and flavor chimney with airflow wide open , I would say the KA is ever so slightly tighter, but still perfect for me. I am mostly mtl, but also do DL from time to time and have no problems doing DL inhales even with one hole closed on the KA. I also use the km3 alot and while the km3 is a little more airy, it's still close enough . I find the KA very comparable in flavor to both the others I mentioned, but with a bit more vapor production. Although the KA in nano is not that big of a tank, just wish it were 21mm. I guess any tank seems big compared to the erlk nano and wish there were others , is there? With juice capacity and size being equal, is there another rta that is just as small in nano as the erlk?

Unfortunately None. In that size Vs. capacity and consumption efficiency.

I am ready to order one of these however that form does not seem to be functional, maybe they took it offline for now?
